COMMUNITY PACK WALK + WALK DOCTOR WORKSHOP

• Is your dog dragging you down the street?
• Lunging at other dogs?
• Turning walks into workouts you didn’t sign up for?

Join Bakers Acres K9 Academy at Nebo Summit Center (165 S 700 E, Springville).

Start with our Community Pack Walk at 9:00am around Reams, Memorial Park, and the surrounding neighborhood. Learn how to walk your dog in a safe, trainer-led setting with distractions like other dogs, kids, and traffic! Ask questions about your dog's behavior, receive free professional training advice, and even book a free consultation.

Then work one-on-one with a trainer through common on-leash challenges like leash pulling, lunging, and reactive behaviors during the Walk Doctor Workshop at 10:00am. It’s an on-the-spot individualized lesson for a group session price!

This is a safe, judgment-free environment! Everyone in attendance is struggling with their dog’s behavior just like you. So, don’t be shy! Ask questions, share ideas, and offer support.

A reliable 'come' isn't just a nice trick; it's a safety skill that can protect your dog in life-threatening situations. Whether they're heading toward a busy street, another dog, or something dangerous, coming the first time you call can make all the difference. It also builds trust, freedom, and a stronger relationship between you and your dog. If your dog only comes when they feel like it, that's something that can absolutely be improved with the right training.

Join us for Group Class this Friday at 6pm where we will delve deeper in this topic and run through exercises you can do now to ensure your dog is safe outside the house. Click the even link below to RSVP:

🐾 Walks aren’t just about exercise… they’re about connection 🐾

One of the biggest mistakes I see is dogs being put on a leash and expected to “just walk.” But a good walk isn’t passive—it’s a conversation between you and your dog.

When you stay engaged on your walk, everything changes:
✨ Your dog checks in with you more
✨ Pulling decreases
✨ Focus improves—even around distractions
✨ Your bond gets stronger

Engagement can be simple:
🐶 Talk to your dog
🐶 Change directions and keep them guessing
🐶 Reward them for choosing to walk with you
🐶 Celebrate those little check-ins

Instead of letting your dog lead the entire walk, become part of it. Be interesting. Be worth paying attention to.

Learn how to take your dog walks to the next level at this weeks group class.

Attn Springville (or Utah County!) dog owners 🗣 Bakers Acres K9 Academy has pack walk coming up this Saturday - April 5th at 9am!!

It is open to the public and is entirely free! Get together with other local dog lovers in a safe environment that is perfect for practicing leash manners, meeting new dogs and getting to know one of Springville's local small business owners - Sara Baker!

Sara is a professional dog trainer and runs pack walk entirely on her own time! You can ask any burning dog training questions at the end of the walk or just enjoy getting out on a morning stroll.

We meet at the Nebo Summit Center, near the southeast corner of the parking lot. If you can't make it this Saturday, don't worry - we offer this service the first Saturday of each month!

We encourage RSVP through this link : https://calendly.com/bakersacres/pack-walk

Hope to see you there!
