Adoption fees: $100 These babies are so vulnerable on their own and often euthanized at shelters due to lack of resources and staff to care for them. They all have a story and they have all come so far. We do our best to give them the life they deserve. Ple

ase be aware that all of our kittens will only be adopted out as indoor companion cats. They will also all be spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccines before leaving our care. When they are 6 weeks old they will be made available for pre-adoption with a non-refundable $30 deposit to reserve, pending their sterilization. Deposit fees will be put towards the total adoption fee. We reserve the right to decline applications for any reason we see fit.

This is a controversial but important subject. If you are going to comment and reply to each other do it in a respectful manner. Remember that everyone has an opinon and while we may not agree with it thoughtful communication is expected. Thank you. 🐈‍⬛

A "spay-abort" is a standard veterinary procedure where a pregnant female cat is spayed, terminating the pregnancy. It is considered a safe, humane, and practical method to protect the mother's health and prevent overpopulation, as developing fetuses do not experience suffering.

HOW IT WORKS

×××The Procedure: The veterinarian removes the uterus and ovaries entirely. This removes the developing embryos and permanently prevents future pregnancies.
×××Timing: It can generally be performed at any stage of gestation, from early pregnancy up to right before labor.
×××Veterinary Context: Because blood vessels in the reproductive tract are enlarged during pregnancy, the surgery may take slightly longer and require extra care compared to a standard spay.

BENEFITS OF A SPAY/ABORT

×××Overpopulation Control: With millions of homeless cats in shelters, preventing new litters alleviates strain on rescue resources and ensures more adoptable cats find homes.
×××Maternal Health: Frequent pregnancies and births take a severe toll on a cat's body. A spay-abort eliminates the health risks associated with giving birth, such as delivery complications, infections, and malnutrition.
×××Disease Prevention: Spaying eliminates the risk of uterine infections (pyometra) and mammary tumors later in life.

If you are caring for a stray or pregnant cat, consult a local veterinarian or animal welfare organization to discuss your options. You can use resources like the ASPCA or Petfinder Shelter Search to find a low-cost spay and neuter clinic near you.

🚨 Our kitten nursery is FULL. 🚨

Dallas Animal Services has no room left in our nursery, and underage kittens are still arriving every day. These fragile babies, only a few days to a few weeks old, are too young to eat on their own and need foster homes immediately.

Without foster volunteers stepping up, we may not have space to care for the next kittens who come through our doors.

The good news: you can help, and we provide everything you need. Dallas Animal Services supplies the food, bottles, medical care, training, and ongoing support. No previous fostering experience is required.

By opening your home to a tiny kitten, you give them the chance to grow strong enough for adoption and create space in our full nursery for the next life in need.

FRIENDLY REMINDER:
The only difference between your pet that you love so much and those feral cats and stray dogs that are labeled as "pests", is that your pet was lucky enough to find someone to love and care about them. 🙂‍↔️

✨TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY✨

This pretty little lady is Miss Cora.
Cora came to us back in January when her and her 2 siblings were found almost frozen (literally) at a park. Unfortunately her siblings didn't make it and Cora became a little singleton baby. Thankfully she was saved in the nick of time from the carelessness of a local shelter.
Miss Cora is such a quirky girl. While she may look like a delicate little flower, she does prefer to spend her free time cage fighting. She will be available for adoption as soon as she stops irritating her spay incision. 🥲
