Let’s help Beans find the perfect home. Beans is a 4 year old neutered and micro chipped, male Labradoodle. If you are interested, please let me know and I’ll put you in touch with his owner. 🐾

- Before we go any further, I want to share a little about Beans so you have the full picture and can decide whether he would be a good fit for your home.

Beans is an anxious dog, particularly around new people and unfamiliar situations. He can be fearful/reactive when he first meets someone, although once he becomes comfortable with a person he is incredibly loving, cuddly and relaxed.

I also want to be completely transparent that Beans has had a bite incident in the past. He got out last year when our father in law left the door open and a neighbor tried to help get him back but when she cornered him in a cul-de-sac he nipped her elbow, it was quickly resolved and he’s never had that issue since. We don’t want to minimize this or surprise anyone with it later.

Because of this, we’re being very intentional about finding a home that understands anxious dogs and is comfortable giving Beans time and space to adjust. We want this next home to truly be his forever home, so I’d much rather share everything upfront and have someone decide he isn’t the right fit than put either Beans or another family in a situation that isn’t safe.

I’m completely happy to answer any questions about his behavior, triggers, routines or the incident. 🤎

Beginning this week, we’ll be operating under our new pickup and drop-off hours shown below.

These hours help us provide the best care possible for every guest while also allowing us to keep everything running smoothly each day.

If these times create a hardship, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’ll always do our best to accommodate when we can.

We were hit by the tornado Saturday night, and while we are so thankful everyone (including the pups!) are safe, our home and kennel did sustain some damage. Luckily, we did get power back recently thanks to the quick work of the linemen!🩶⚡️

Because of this, we will need to cancel and reschedule some boarding appointments this week as we focus on cleanup, repairs, and making sure everything is safe and ready for your pups again.

🐾❤️ I just want to say how incredibly grateful we are for this community. The messages, prayers, and offers for meals and help have meant more to us than I can put into words. We truly feel so supported and blessed.

To those affected by schedule changes, I am so sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and grace more than you know. We have reached out individually as needed and will do everything we can to get back up and running as quickly as possible.

Thank you for loving and supporting our family and our little business—it does not go unnoticed.

"Just a quarter to half inch of ice? What's the big deal?"

Ice is HEAVY, and when it falls in the form of freezing rain, it sticks to everything. Every leaf, branch, and twig on a tree gathering ice adds up to a lot of weight in a hurry.

Worst-case scenario for this weekend could bring some 0.5" totals to Central Texas. On a 30ft wide tree, that adds up to more than 7,000 pounds of ice, or roughly 109.5 fully-grown golden retrievers. That's enough to send some limbs tumbling into powerlines in some instances.
