🐸💚 It’s getting chilly out there!

Just your friendly reminder that winter doesn’t mean we stop grooming our dogs! ✂️

I know a lot of you prefer to keep your pups a little longer and fluffier when it’s cold out, and that’s perfectly okay! BUT, longer coats need maintenance too!

Skipping grooming appointments can lead to tangles and matting, which can actually cause a lot of discomfort for your dog.

You don’t have to shave your dog down to keep them maintained! Regular baths, brushing, and a little trimming here and there go a long way. 🫧

Let’s keep those babies warm, but clean and comfortable too! 🩷

And don’t forget to get those holiday appointments scheduled! They’re filling up! ✂️✨

Winter grooming still matters! Keeping up with brushing, baths, and de-shedding helps prevent matting and keeps all that extra fluff manageable.

Okay, can we talk about FIGGY for a second?! 😭

I got to groom this sweet little dude today in hopes that getting him all cleaned up and handsome might help get him seen by the right person… and I am officially invested. 😂❤️

Figaro, aka Figgy, is a 4-year-old Shih Tzu mix being fostered through Wiggly Tails Dog Rescue. He does have some special needs — he has mobility limitations and is permanently urinary and bowel incontinent — so he needs someone who is comfortable with the extra care that comes with that.

But y’all… he is SO much more than that.

He is sweet, loving, social, loves people and kids, cuddles, stroller rides, going places, and basically just wants to be included in whatever you’re doing. He was such a good little guy for me today and I’m mildly obsessed with his tiny old-man face. 😭😂

He doesn’t need someone to feel bad for him. He just needs someone who looks at him and says, “Yep. You’re mine.”

His adoption fee is fully sponsored, too. ❤️

This is Gus and Lincoln. They both get medicated for grooming anxiety, and during Gus’s blow-drying session, Lincoln decided to use my foot as a headrest. 🥹

The third photo is Jax, a corgi who also needs medication to make grooming less stressful. He goes home partially wet and has an express appointment—I work straight through while his owner waits for him.

Grooming isn’t always about perfection.

Sometimes success looks like medication. Sometimes it looks like an express appointment. Sometimes it means going home a little wet.

Medication doesn’t equal failure. Accommodations don’t equal failure.

Every dog deserves the chance to be successful in their grooming journey. ✨🐾
