So thankful for Chris Withers Photography for hosting pet portraits for a purpose to benefit Animal Protective League as they rebuild their facility.

Not only do the proceeds go to a good cause, but they also help us capture timeless photos of our dogs. The last picture is one he did for us about 10 years ago.

We are blessed our dogs are 10 & 11 and still in good health. Just a touch of gray on their muzzles now.

3 weeks into her program, and Thunder is enjoying off-leash freedom.

I love using my E-Collar Technologies Mini and Micro Educators. But a tool should build reliability, never dependency. At a certain point, you have to test the work with voice only, using the collar purely as a safety net.

Thunder will be ready to go home in a few days!

Poor guy got pulled right off his feet last weekend while playing with Thunder. Took some time at drop off to show him how to walk with Thunder.

Homework for the weekend is some focused heeling with Thunder around the yard before we introduce more distractions next week for the final drop off lesson.

My companion reset program is the best of both worlds. Structured hands on training with me and private 1-on-1 hand offs for seamless transitions into home life.

This stunning young shepherd is with me as a board and train and has been learning at an incredible rate! Had to test her with the neighborhood bunnies this morning.

She has loads of playful energy, but a little unsure sometimes. Definitely looking forward to the next couple weeks with her!

Took advantage of a beautiful afternoon and went to the park with Irene and Gayla. We did lesson #5 right by giving Irene tons of freedom to run, sniff, climb, and be crazy with plenty of training worked in.

This recall rep happened organically as she started to chase down the geese, but came right back on cue.

These advanced recalls are a great way to test the dog's focus and intent while having some fun.
