Please be aware that someone is trying to sell T-shirts with our name and logo on them. This has nothing to do with Myers Animal Clinic and fear that this is a scam so please do not purchase one of these shirts. Only trust posts made by us and not individuals.

We’re excited to welcome the newest member of our team, Dr. Candace Whittington, who will be joining our practice on June 1st!

Dr. Whittington’s arrival means we’ll be able to expand availability for new clients while also offering more appointment openings for pets who need prompt care when they’re sick or experiencing urgent concerns.

Dr. Candace Whittington has been practicing veterinary medicine for the past five years in Peoria, Illinois. Her passion for animal care began at an early age through caring for her family’s pets, which inspired her lifelong dedication to veterinary medicine.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University before completing her veterinary education at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts.

Dr. Whittington is passionate about helping animals live happy, healthy lives, with a special interest in preventative care. She understands that pets are more than companions — they are cherished members of the family.

A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Dr. Whittington holds a special place in her heart for veterans and military families. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with loved ones and staying active outdoors with her dog, Tucker, and her cat, Oscar.
Please join us in giving Dr. Whittington a warm welcome to the practice — we’re thrilled to have her on our team!

We want to thank our vet techs for the outstanding job they do and the challenges they face every day. Without these people we would not be able to care for your pets the way we do. We also want to recognize our vet assistants and reception staff who support our vet techs every way they can. It is truly a team effort, and we couldn't do it without them.

This is Wh***ey, a handsome, sweet 3 year old male chocolate lab. Wh***ey was rescued from a less than ideal situation, living strictly in a kennel outdoors with no chance to run or play. He is up to date on all vaccines, and is scheduled to be neutered next month. He is currently being fostered by one of our staff members, and we are confident we can help find him the right, loving home!❤️ If you or someone you know is interested, please give us a call at 217-525-9556. Please feel free to share!🐾
