I took Lova, who is still waiting to be adopted from the Loudoun Shelter, for a long hike by the Reservoir. She did great with our car ride, riding sh***un. And she is a fantastic hiking partner, so happy walking and being out in nature!

Lova greeted people and other dogs on our path calmly and politely…giving me a chance to chat her up as an amazing rescue prospect to two dozen or so people.

If you or anyone else you know wants a calm, affectionate and athletic Shepherd mix, Lova is a great fit!!! 😍

Are you looking to adopt a smart and very sweet Shepherd mix?

I took Lova, who is still unhappy when inside the Loudoun Shelter, for a walk on Tuesday. She walks beautifully on a loose leash. And being out in nature makes her so happy!!!

I promised her that I would go back and take her walking again, so that’s where I am headed this morning.

I hope she gets adopted soon! She will make a wonderful family pet: affectionate, intelligent, a great walking partner. 😍

These two cuties were playing so nicely! It was heartwarming to see the little white Coton de Tulear puppy,Somi, have so much fun today…last week she was very shy!

I started going to the Loudoun Shelter two hours before teaching my weekly classes to recent adopters, so that I can volunteer with the dogs that are waiting to be adopted. There were two lovely dogs I took out on Tuesday. This one with the huge ears is Lova. She is such a sweet, gentle, smart girl. Poor thing is clearly stressed out by the Shelter environment, but was so grateful to go outside and have human company. I really hope she finds a good home; she has the potential to make a wonderful family dog.
