There's something so special about watching these fellas smile through dripping sweat, extra hot days and dusty, late nights. I reckon they love it. & I get it, because I do too.

Most asked question: How long does this take?

It's a process! Guesstimates:
-skinning-> .5 hr
-washing-> .5 hr
-blow drying-> 1 hr
-material pickup, prep & painting-> 2 hrs
-feather placement-> 10 hrs
-frame construction, finishing & hardware-> 2 hrs

Roughly 2 full work days. For those who are crunching numbers, I have roughly $100 in materials: wood, glue, stain, hanging hardware. Not counting licensing & time invested in practice work.

Big thanks to Hazel & her family for bringing me her 2026 Spring turkey, harvested youth weekend.
The colors on this turkey are stunning & I'm a bit jealous it's not going in my living room! I cannot wait to see pictures of it on their wall! 🦃🤎
