We are on a list for a delivery like the one pictured :-) Also, everyone can get: 1 cubic yard of free, unbagged compost, while supplies last at events such as the one in Eugene:
Free compost events for residents
April 11 , 2026 | 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. | Rexius (150 Hwy 99, Eugene, 97402)
Come prepared with shovels, buckets, tarps, and anything else you need to transport compost! Conversely, for those with open-bed trucks, a Rexius front loader can help you load compost into your vehicle. Each Lane County household may receive up to 1 cubic yard of free, unbagged compost, while supplies last.
And if you are a friend of the farm (Wet Rock Gardens), you may be able to borrow our trailer to get a "load" that day :-)
South Hills Montessori recently received 30 cubic yards of Love Food Not Waste compost for free as part of Lane County's Free Community Compost program.
Businesses (i.e., commercial farms), organizations (i.e., nonprofits, churches), and agencies (i.e., schools) seeking free community compost delivery are eligible to participate in the program. The program is NOT open to individual residents.
More information at lanecountyor.gov/compost.
* Please note quantities are limited, and individuals (i.e., residents) cannot order delivery.
* MINIMUM 30 CUBIC YARDS (1 DUMP TRUCK) REQUIRED FOR DELIVERY
Individual residents seeking free community compost should refer to the Waste Wise Lane County Facebook events page for any scheduled events.
