A Letter to Our Old Friends Family

Dear Friends,

Fourteen years ago, we opened our hearts and our home to senior dogs who needed a safe place to spend their golden years. What began in our living room as a simple dream has, through the love and generosity of so many, grown into something far greater than we could have imagined.

With the unwavering support of our donors, volunteers, foster families, employees, and community, Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary has blossomed into a 20,000-square-foot facility with 60 dedicated staff members and a full veterinary clinic. Together, we have provided lifetime care for more than 1,500 dogs, and today, as many as 120 dogs live happily at the Sanctuary while up to another 500 thrive in forever foster homes throughout our local area.

As founders and directors, this journey has been the honor of our lives. We have faced challenges, celebrated victories, and witnessed countless tails wagging with joy. And now, just as the dogs we set out to help have reached their senior years, we too have reached a time in our lives when it is right to retire.

We step back with full hearts, knowing that Old Friends is in the best possible hands. Our leadership team is strong, compassionate, and deeply committed to carrying our mission forward. The Sanctuary’s future is bright, and we are confident it will continue to grow, thrive, and bring comfort to senior dogs for generations to come.
