A YEAR. 💔 Lottie has officially been waiting ONE WHOLE YEAR right here in Massachusetts for someone to look at this beautiful, goofy, energetic girl and say, “Yep. THAT’S our dog!”

We’re starting to think her people might need a little help finding her. Because here’s the thing about Lottie: she is SO MUCH FUN! She’s smart. She’s athletic. She is ridiculously eager to learn. She LOVES having a job to do and is absolutely the kind of dog who would be thrilled to spend Saturday morning hiking, followed by backyard zoomies, followed by....more zoomies, probably. 😅

She’s already made incredible progress with positive reinforcement training and is ready for someone who wants to keep that momentum going. And we’re pretty convinced there’s an agility superstar hiding in there somewhere. ⭐

Lottie is around 40–45 lbs and needs an active family who is home more often than not, older kids would be fine, and definitely NO cats. She can live with another dog, but they need to be able to keep up with her enthusiasm. If your current dog’s idea of cardio is walking to the food bowl then back to nap on the couch, Lottie respectfully suggests you keep looking. 😂

She has already spent a year waiting in local foster homes. A YEAR. She deserves to finally know what it feels like to be someone’s dog—not just the dog who is still waiting. 🥺

So if you’ve been looking for an active, smart, silly, trainable dog to join you for ALL THE THINGS, please don’t scroll past Lottie. She may have been waiting a year for you. 🥹

Take the first step to making Lottie part of your family by heading to browndogcoalition.com/adoption to find our adoption app. Her people are out there. We just need them to finally find her. 🔎

Adoptable Toby = 10 pounds of dog. Approximately 47 pounds of personality!

He may be small enough to tuck under your arm, but apparently nobody told him that. This 10-month-old little dude has PLACES TO BE. FRIENDS TO PLAY WITH. ZOOMIES TO ZOOM. 😂

His current favorite activity? Chasing his 45-lb Vizsla foster sibling around the house like he has something to prove. He also loves to bark to recruit his friends for playtime, then crashes hard when the puppy battery finally hits 0%.

Basically, Toby is a tiny, hilarious, energetic puppy looking for someone who is ready for…well, a tiny, hilarious, energetic puppy. 😜

He’s working on his house training, crate training and leash walking and would love a home with kids 5+, playful dog friends and NO cats. 🙅‍♂️

Toby is heading to Massachusetts later this week, and we’d LOVE to see this little dude arrive already knowing exactly where he’s going. We’re hoping to get him pre-adopted before he even steps paw in MA—and there’s still time to make that happen!

So if you’ve been thinking about adding a small dog to your crew and have the time, patience and sense of humor required for puppyhood, maybe this little fox-ish mystery mutt is the guy you’ve been waiting for. 👀

Take the first step to making Toby part of your family by heading to browndogcoalition.com/adoption to find our adoption app. Don’t wait too long or else somebody else may scoop him up first! 🏃‍♀️

This three-legged fella has been overlooked for WAY too long, and frankly, we’re not sure what everyone else is missing. Because Peeta may be down one leg, but he can still run circles around his four-legged canine pals. Literally. 😂

At 3 years old and 42 lbs, Peeta is basically the Goldilocks of dogs: young, medium-sized, and already past the tiny-puppy-chaos stage. He’s got a great training foundation, is very food motivated, and is ready to keep fine-tuning his skills with his future fam. 🧠

He’s lived happily with several dogs in his foster homes, but he’d also be perfectly content soaking up ALL your attention as your one-and-only. His only requests? No cats and no apartments. Please and thank you!

And considering what this guy has already been through—life on the streets, a leg amputation after an injury, and heartworm treatment—you’d think he’d have a few complaints. Nope. Just a happy, playful, ridiculously handsome dude who clearly has places to be and squirrels to chase. 💙

Peeta’s person is out there. Could it be you?! 👉 Take the first step to making Peeta part of your family by heading to browndogcoalition.com/adoption to find our adoption app.

Meet Hudson! 👋

Since the last time we shared this handsome four-month-old, we’ve learned a LOT more about him. And honestly? We’re even more determined to get him out of the kennel and into a home. 🙏

Hudson is your typical happy, bouncy, toy-loving puppy. He’s super sweet, LOVES people once he knows them, can entertain himself with his toys, and does just fine in a crate. He’s also a big fan of other dogs—although his preferred activity is apparently PLAY. PLAY. PLAY. 🤪 Due to his lack of knowledge of his size and being a 100% goofball, he’s not a good candidate for homes with tiny humans, but he would do fine in a household with dog-savvy kiddos.

Like all puppies his age, he is working on house training, has very little life skills yet, and didn’t seem particularly impressed by the cat he met at the kennel, so he needs a feline-free home—at least for now. 🙅‍♂️

Hudson was surrendered to a local animal control officer right here in Massachusetts after his former family bought him from a “breeder” and was living somewhere that didn’t allow dogs. 🤦‍♀️ We suspect there may be some Plott Hound in his mix, but since he came from a backyard breeder, there are no guarantees!

What we do know is that Hudson is living in a kennel, and that’s not where a four-month-old puppy belongs. 🥺

We’re committed to getting him into our care—but we need a foster home to make that happen. His foster family will have first dibs to adopt him, but adoption can’t move forward until he’s in our care and we’ve had the opportunity to get him fully vetted.

⭐ 9/5 UPDATE: ALL SET! ⭐

We only have until Sunday, September 6 to find Tux a foster-to-adopt home! 😭

This handsome almost-8-year-old guy has been through more transitions than he ever should have—and not one of them has been because of anything Tux has done.

He has been an A+ houseguest every step of the way. The people who have opened their homes to him have all told us how amazing he is and how much they wish circumstances had allowed them to keep fostering him. But personal and family commitments have ultimately meant that each temporary home has had to come to an end.

And now, Tux is facing another move. 💔

After losing the only home he’d known for 7+ years, the LAST thing we want is to ask him to start over in yet another temporary home while we continue searching for his forever family.

That’s where foster-to-adopt comes in. 🙋

If you’ve been thinking about adopting a kitty but aren’t quite ready to commit without getting to know them first, this could be your chance. Bring Tux home, see how you fit together, and give him the stability he desperately needs.

If it’s a match, amazing—you’ve found your guy! And if it isn’t, we’ll work together from there.

Tux is looking for a pet-free home where he can be king of the castle and soak up all the attention. Cat-savvy older kiddos are A-OK, though! 👍

He’s spent nearly 8 years perfecting the art of being a loyal companion. Now he just needs someone willing to give him the one thing he’s been missing: a place to stay for good.

🚨 MASSACHUSETTS! WE WANT TO SAY YES TO THIS PUPPY. WE JUST NEED A FOSTER. 🚨

This little 4-month-old kid was surrendered to a local animal control officer, and they’ve asked Brown Dog Coalition to help him.

We WANT to say yes. We just need somewhere safe for him to land first. 🥺

Time is of the essence. He’s sitting in a kennel right now, and we need to secure a foster home so we can get back to the animal control officer and say, “YES, WE ARE HAPPY TO HELP!” 🤞

He’s had his initial vaccines, and his neuter will be taken once he’s settled into foster care. And no, you don’t have to commit forever—even a few weeks of fostering could be enough to get this baby out of the kennel and into a home while we learn more about him.

So… who has room in their home (and heart) for one very smol fry? 👀

👉 Head to browndogcoalition.com/foster to learn more about fostering and help us say YES to this little guy!

Rosalie is approximately 10 years old, weighs a whopping 10 lbs soaking wet, and wakes up every morning ready to take on the world like the spry little peanut she is.

She was found as a stray a few months ago, and it was pretty clear that routine vet care hadn’t exactly been a priority in her previous life. So, naturally, we welcomed her with wide-open arms!

Turns out? A few things. 😵‍💫

First up: laryngeal paralysis, which is something we’re unfortunately very familiar with as we had a doodle join our rescue with the same condition a few years ago. The good news is that a specialist doesn’t believe Rosalie needs intervention right now. The not-so-good news? She could eventually need tie-back surgery to widen her airway—a procedure that can cost $5,000+.

Next: She’s also still working on house training. She is GREAT about doing her business outside when she’s taken out...but hasn’t mastered the whole “hey, I need to go!” signal yet. And when Rosalie needs to go? Rosalie needs to go! 😂

And then there’s her tendency to bond HARD. Once you’re her person, you’re basically her entire universe. When you leave, she panics, searches for you, and loudly objects to this unacceptable betrayal. So, she needs someone who’s home most of the time—and doesn’t mind bringing a 10-lb sidekick along for dog-friendly adventures.

Now, if you’ve made it this far, THANK YOU. Because we know Rosalie isn’t the easiest sell on paper. But here’s what the paperwork doesn’t tell you: Rosalie is happy. She is spry. She is affectionate. She has an excellent quality of life. And she has SO much love left to give.

She might need a little more monitoring, a little more patience with the house-training, and a little more togetherness than your average dog. But what she really needs is someone willing to look past the list of things going on with her and see the 10-lb, happy-go-lucky little dog underneath it all.

If that’s you, Rosalie would really love to meet you! Take the first step by heading to browndogcoalition.com/adoption to find our adoption app.

Excuse us, but why is everyone sleeping on Sassy?! 👀 We’re not saying you should rush to apply before someone else discovers her…but we’re also not NOT saying that. 😉

At just over a year old and a mighty 16 lbs, she’s basically the perfect little package: young, fun, past the puppy-chaos stage, and still plenty energetic enough to keep up on neighborhood strolls. 🐾

And then there’s her belief system: ball is life. 🎾 Her future family should prepare accordingly. A fully stocked toy bin is not optional!

She’s also one seriously smart, loving girl. She may take a little time to decide you’re her person, but once you’re in? BELLY RUBS. AFFECTION. ALL THE LOVE. She’s the kind of dog who makes you wonder how on earth everyone else managed to overlook her.

Your move, folks. If you’ve been looking for a young, fun, 16-pound sidekick with excellent taste in tennis balls, this might be your sign. 🙋‍♀️

TUX WOULD LIKE TO CANCEL HIS MEMBERSHIP TO THE TEMPORARY-HOME CLUB! Through absolutely no fault of his own, this sweet middle-aged guy has bounced around several times—including losing the only home he’d known for 7+ years. And once again, he’s now just days away from needing to move to yet ANOTHER home. 😭

The part that really gets us is that Tux has been an A+ houseguest every step of the way. He hasn’t caused these transitions. He hasn’t done anything wrong. In fact, the people who have opened their homes to him have all said the same thing: they wish circumstances hadn’t changed because Tux is such an amazing kitty. 🥹 But personal & family commitments have simply meant that none of these foster’s have been able to make a long-term commitment to foster him until he’s adopted.

But Tux doesn’t know any of that. He just knows that every time he settles in, he eventually has to pack his bags again. 💔 We REALLY don’t want his next stop to be another foster home. He deserves to finally exhale, put his paws up, and know he’s home.

👉 That’s why we’re searching for a foster-to-adopt for this guy!

This gives you the opportunity to welcome Tux home, get to know him, and make sure you’re the right match without asking him to pack his bags and start over yet again in another temporary home. Our goal is the fewest possible transitions for this guy from here on out! 🤞

Just keep in mind: Tux is looking for a pet-free home where he can soak up all the attention. Cat-savvy older kiddos are A-OK, though!

He may be entering his second chapter as an almost-8 year old, but he’s bringing all those years of experience being a loyal companion. He’s been the good guy through every single transition. Now he just needs someone to make sure this one is the last!

👉 Head to browndogcoalition.com/cats to learn more and take the first step.
