We’re a small (but mighty!) family of four humans and nine fuzzy floofs, and we’re so glad you stopped by! Thank you for taking time out of your day to visit our shop, it means the world to us. Our family has been head-over-heels for chinchillas for nearly three decades, and to say we’re obsessed would be an understatement. Living in beautiful Oregon, we
’re lucky to be surrounded by lush orchards and farms brimming with organic trees and herbs. For years, we've lovingly gathered, cut, scrubbed, boiled, and baked our own wood chews for our chinchillas, ensuring they’re safe, natural, and delicious. With the help of generous friends and family who let us prune their fruit trees (and take one task off their to-do lists!), we’ve been able to keep our floofs happily chewing away. In addition to our business, we proudly work with a local small animal rescue, where we foster chinchillas and other small animals from time to time. This allows us to provide a safe haven and help give these animals a fresh start while continuing to learn more about their needs. Then came 2022 and an idea from our daughter, Taylor. She noticed how many unsafe, low-quality chinchilla products were being sold online and in stores, and she wanted to change that. She asked us if we could make more of our homemade goodies, not just for our chinchillas, but for yours too. And just like that, our little business was born. As parents, we’ve always told our kids they can do anything they set their minds to and it’s been such a joy watching Taylor’s passion and care blossom into something real. Now, our family works together year-round to create healthy, high-quality chews that your chinchillas (and other small pets!) will love. We hope you enjoy our products as much as we love making them. Hi there! I’m Taylor, the proud founder and president of this business. I’m a junior in high school, and when I’m not crafting products or chatting with customers, I’m probably singing in choir, acting in theater, creating art, swimming, training in Jiu Jitsu or Muay Thai, or traveling. Chinchillas are my passion. Since starting this business in October 2022, I’ve learned so much about economics, communication, and what it means to run a business. I manage and track finances with my mom, and I’m often the one messaging customers directly, so don’t be surprised if you hear from me personally! I care deeply about the quality of each order, and I love knowing that something I made brings joy to a chinchilla across the country. I can’t wait to make something special for you and your floofy friends! Meet the Vice President, Suzie (aka Mom, age 39)
Hi! I’m Suzie, mom to Taylor (15) and Dylan (10), and the VP of this family-run adventure. I work full-time alongside Taylor, running the chinchilla business, and I also home school Dylan. It's a busy (but fun!) balance, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. When I’m not working, you’ll find me exploring nature with my family, hiking, camping, playing piano, playing sports, or building mini LEGO masterpieces. I’m always up for a little adventure and I’m just as excited to be a part of this business as I am to help create meaningful moments for our customers. Supporting Taylor in this venture has been a huge joy, and I love knowing that together, we’re making a difference in the lives of chinchillas (and their owners!) everywhere.
