Yesterday was the last day of Critter Camp, and we’re already missing the giggles, questions, crafts, and reptile adventures!

The good news? Your child still has two more opportunities to join the Frog Family for an unforgettable summer camp:

Reptile Adventure Camp: July 20–22
Eco Explorer Camp: August 10–12
9:00 AM–1:00 PM

☀️🦎 SUMMER CAMP WEEK UPDATE! 🐍🐸

Our Kids Summer Camp is in full swing Monday through Wednesday this week! We are so excited to spend the mornings and afternoons teaching campers about reptiles, amphibians, bugs, nature, and hands-on animal experiences.

🚨 Store Hours Change 🚨

To ensure the safety, supervision, and best experience for all of our campers, the retail store will be:

⏰ OPEN DAILY AT 3:00 PM
📅 Monday - Wednesday

Our team will be fully focused on camp activities before 3 PM, so the store will not be open to the public during camp hours.

Thank you for your understanding and support of our educational programs! We can’t wait to see everyone when the doors open at 3 PM each day.

🦎❤️ Okay Springfield… y’all convinced us.

We originally thought we had enough spots for our June 15th–17th Critter Camp, but the messages keep coming in.

“Do you have any openings left?”

“My grandson was really hoping to come.”

“My daughter keeps asking if she can do camp with the animals.”

So after talking it over, we’ve decided to open up 4 additional spots for ages 4–12.

As a parent myself, I know how hard it is to find something that gets kids genuinely excited these days. Something that’s more than just another day in front of a screen.

For three days, they’ll be holding reptiles, meeting animals from around the world, making new friends, doing crafts, learning cool science, and getting hands-on experiences most kids never get the chance to have.

The best part?

The confidence.

It’s amazing watching a child walk in nervous about touching a snake and leave proudly telling everyone they held one.

Or hearing them spend the entire ride home talking about their favorite animal.

Those are the moments that stick.

And if you’re a grandparent looking for something special to do for a grandchild this summer, I can tell you from experience—experiences are remembered a whole lot longer than toys.

We intentionally keep our camps small because we want every child to have a chance to interact, ask questions, and be part of the adventure.

That’s why once these 4 spots are filled, we’ll be completely full.

🇺🇸 A Quick Memorial Day Update 🇺🇸

Frog Family Reptile Shop will be CLOSED on Monday, May 25th, as we take time to honor and remember the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend—it’s a day to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of those who never made it home.

We hope everyone has a safe and meaningful holiday spent with family and friends.

❤️🤍💙 Thank you to all military families and to those who have served.

We'll be back Tuesday at 11:00 AM and ready to see all of your smiling faces (and maybe a few reptiles too 🐍😁).

💚 COMMUNITY QUESTION 💚

A local family recently shared that their sweet daughter, who is turning 6 and is autistic and nonverbal, had a birthday party where unfortunately none of her classmates were able to attend.

As the parent of a nonverbal child myself, that hit me right in the heart.

It got me thinking...

Would our community be interested in helping us throw a FREE Inclusion Celebration at Frog Family Reptile & Amphibians?

Not just for one child, but for ALL children.

A day where kids of all abilities can come together, meet new friends, interact with amazing animals, play, learn, and simply have fun being kids.

One of the reasons we started Frog Family was because we wanted a place where children like my son could feel welcome, accepted, and free from judgment. A place where differences aren't something to be hidden they're something to be understood and celebrated.

This could also be a wonderful opportunity for children who aren't on the spectrum to learn about and interact with their friends and neighbors who may communicate, play, or experience the world differently than they do.

Because at the end of the day, kindness starts with understanding. ❤️
