It's Time To Celebrate!

Join the nation in celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the United States Declaration of Independence. This major milestone will feature nationwide events, along with cultural commemorations and we have Fun Patches to help recognize all participants!

Youth Group Program Activity Ideas:

• Get involved: Challenge your troop to action led activities such as donating service hours, hand out 250 American Flags or volunteer your time to a charity of your choice.

• Write letters to America: Encourage youth groups to write letters about what America means to them and their wish for it's future.

• Host a 250th Party: Celebrate the 250th anniversary, and organize a party that invites local veterans. Participate in a flag ceremony, complemented by a reenactment or a reading of the Declaration of Independence.

Fun Patches can be earned by exploring and creating your own program ideas. Have fun and create memories one patch a time!

Fruit and Grain Bird Feeders. Great idea!

Fruit & Grain Bird Feeders 🐦🌿
Such a fun little outdoor activity that gets kids creating and gives them something to watch after. It’s simple, hands-on, and there’s something really sweet about seeing birds come enjoy something they made.
Ingredients:
Pipe cleaners
Florist’s wire
Grapes
Blueberries
Dried cranberries
Cheerios
O-shaped oat cereal
Raffia, twine, or ribbon
Directions:
Set everything out so it’s easy for kids to grab and start creating.
Let them thread the fruits and cereal onto pipe cleaners or florist’s wire to make their feeders.
Bend or twist the ends to hold everything in place.
Add some twine, raffia, or ribbon to create a hanger.
Hang them outside on a tree or fence and wait for the birds to come visit.
Such a simple way to mix crafting with a little nature time—and kids love checking back to see who stopped by
