POV: it’s October 31st, the doorbell won’t stop, and your dog is... asleep?? 😴🎃 It can happen. Here’s how.
The secret nobody posts about: calm starts with a fulfilled dog.
🐾 Before you ask for stillness, fill their cup — a real game of tug or fetch (let them win! 🏆), a sniffy walk where they get to just be a dog. Then “place” stops being a battle and starts being a nap with a job title 😂
This week, practice the door like it’s a game: knock, ring, open, close, treat the calm. Two minutes, done. Short reps now = a boring doorbell later. Boring is the goal. 🥱🔔
Costume going on your dog? Comfy and quick — get the photo, then freedom. 📸 And if the big night is still too much for them, a quiet room away from the action is a perfectly good plan. No shame in smart management — we’d rather see a relaxed dog in the bedroom than a stressed one performing at the front door. ❤️
