Let's talk about something many breeders don't say often enough.

Well-bred dogs can still develop health issues.
Well-bred dogs can fail health testing.
Well-bred dogs can have faults.
Well-bred dogs can be poorly structured.
Well-bred dogs can lack breed type.
Well-bred dogs can have incorrect bites.
Well-bred dogs can be reactive, timid, or fearful.

Why?

Because breeding living creatures is not an exact science.

A responsible breeder isn't defined by producing perfection every time. They're defined by their commitment to improving the breed, learning from every outcome, and making better decisions moving forward.

The best breeders health test, evaluate structure and temperament, study pedigrees, seek mentorship, and continually strive to produce healthier, sounder dogs. Even then, unexpected things can happen.

What matters most is honesty, accountability, and dedication to the breed.

Perfection isn't the goal.

Breeding better dogs is.
