🐾 Meet Miss Chencha! 🐾

Everyone meet Chencha, a beautiful 10-month-old Belgian Malinois who officially started her Day Train Program with us this week! ❤️🐶

At just 10 months old, this girl has plenty of puppy energy, and her family has some great goals they'd like us to work on! 💪🐾

One of their biggest priorities is building reliable off-leash recall, teaching Chencha to come when called, even when there are exciting distractions around her.

We'll also be focusing on polite greetings without jumping on people, better impulse control, ignoring distractions, and learning her Place command—including how to remain in position until she's released.

With a young Malinois, it's not just about having energy—it's about learning how to channel that energy, stay focused, and know when it's time to settle. 🐕🔥

Our goal is to help Chencha develop better manners, stronger obedience, and more reliable responses, both at home and out in the real world.

She's just getting started, and we're excited to watch this young lady grow throughout her Day Train journey!

🐾 Meet Mr. Odin! 🐾

Everyone meet Odin, a handsome 3-year-old Pit Bull who officially started his Day Train Program with us this week! ❤️🐶

Odin's family has some important goals they'd like us to focus on, especially when it comes to walks, having guests over, and his aggressive behavior toward other dogs.

During his training, we'll be working on improving his leash manners, impulse control, obedience, and overall reactivity, helping him learn how to make better choices when faced with situations that normally trigger a reaction. 💪🐾

One of our biggest goals is to help Odin understand that he doesn't need to interact with every dog or react to everything happening around him. Learning to remain calm and neutral around other dogs and unfamiliar people is an important part of building safer, more enjoyable experiences for both Odin and his family.

We're just getting started with this handsome boy, and we're excited to see how he progresses throughout his Day Train journey!

Ginny is here for her Day Train program and Sophie is one of our daycare girls, and these two have become the cutest little duo!

🐾 Meet Miss Storm! 🐾

We’re a little late on her introduction 😂, but everyone meet Storm, an adorable 6-month-old Shepherd mix who is already in her second week of our 4-Week Board & Train Program! ❤️🐶

Mom has some important goals for this young girl, including improving her leash manners, especially when people or animals run by and that puppy excitement kicks in! We’re working on teaching Storm to stay engaged, control those impulses, and make better choices around distractions. 💪🐾

We’re also helping her learn how to settle and be comfortable when she’s alone, along with working on better boundaries with the cats at home—because apparently jumping at the cats is way too much fun right now. 😂🐱

At only six months old, Storm is still learning how to navigate the world, and these next few weeks are all about continuing to build that strong foundation.

We’re already into week two, and Miss Storm has been putting in the work! ❤️ We can’t wait to see how much more this little girl accomplishes before heading home.

🐾 Meet Mr. Kiba! 🐾

Everyone meet Kiba, a handsome 3-year-old Shiba Inu who is currently in his second week of our 4-Week Board & Train Program! ❤️🐶

Kiba’s family is actually no stranger to Strategic K9! They’re previous clients who brought their other Shiba Inu to us for Day Train. They recently took Kiba in from his previous owner and gave him a few weeks to settle into his new home, get comfortable with his new family, and adjust to living with their other Shiba before bringing him to us for training. 🏡🐾

Now that he’s here, one of the family’s biggest goals is for Kiba to be calm, comfortable, and appropriate around children, especially since they have young kids in the family. We’ll be working on boundaries and neutrality around children while helping him learn how to handle all that little-kid energy. 😂❤️

We’re also working on leash manners, obedience, impulse control, and being comfortable and well-mannered out in public, along with anything else we see that will help Kiba and his family be successful together long-term.

We’re already into week two, and so far, so good! 👏🐶 Kiba has been doing great, and we’re excited to see how much more progress he makes during the rest of his stay.

🐾 Double Introduction — Meet Levi & Rocco! 🐾

We got such a great picture of these two together that we figured… why not introduce them at the same time?! 😂❤️

These handsome boys are NOT brothers and come from two different families, but they're both one year old and currently spending some time with the Strategic K9 family!

🐶 Meet Levi!

Levi is a 1-year-old Vizsla here for our 3-Week Board & Train Program while his family is out of town.

Levi lives in downtown, so his family would love to be able to confidently enjoy the city with him—whether that's walking through busy areas, spending time around children, or eventually enjoying more freedom at places like the dog park and dog beach.

We'll also be working on helping Levi become more comfortable being alone, especially since he can occasionally nuisance bark when left by himself. Our focus will be building better manners, reliability, confidence, and impulse control so he can handle all the different environments his family wants to enjoy with him. 🐾

🐶 Meet Rocco!

Rocco is a 1-year-old Weimaraner here for our 4-Week Board & Train Program!

Rocco struggles with high anxiety, reactivity, and aggressive behaviors, so we'll be working on helping him develop better coping skills, impulse control, and calmer responses. His family would also like improvements with walking, guests coming over, being left alone, and his tendency to self-reward.

And with a new baby now part of the family, helping Rocco develop appropriate boundaries and calm, safe behavior around children is especially important. ❤️👶🐶

Two different dogs. Two different households. Two different training plans—but both working toward becoming calmer, more confident, and more reliable companions for their families. 💪🐾

🐾 Meet Mr. Odin! 🐾

We’re a little late on introductions 😂 but everyone meet Odin, a handsome 1-year-old Frenchie who is currently in his second week of our 4-Week Board & Train Program! ❤️🐶

Odin’s family has some big goals for this little guy! They want to be able to enjoy walks together, comfortably have guests over, and help Odin learn how to be okay when he’s left alone.

We’re also working on his reactivity toward dogs, people, and neighborhood sounds, along with teaching him better boundaries around other dogs. Odin has LOTS of energy 😂, so a big part of his training is helping him develop impulse control, learn how to settle, and make better choices instead of letting all that excitement take over.

Now that we’re into week two, we’re starting to build on that foundation and challenge him a little more—and so far, Mr. Odin is doing great! 👏💪🐾

We still have plenty of work ahead of us, but we’re excited to see where the next few weeks take this little guy!

🐾 We know it’s been a little while since we’ve introduced some of the pups we’ve had with us… so meet Leon! 🐾

This handsome guy is Leon, a 3-year-old German Shepherd mix who has been spending the last two weeks with us for Board & Train! ❤️🐶

Leon’s dad was heading out of town and decided it was the perfect opportunity to have Leon stay with us and get some training in at the same time.

During his stay, we’ve been working on his reactivity, obedience, impulse control, and Place command—helping him learn how to settle, hold his position, and make better choices even when things are happening around him. 💪🐾

And just like that… his two weeks are already almost over! 🥹 Leon heads home tomorrow, Friday, September 18th, so we’re finishing up his last bit of work before it’s time for Dad to continue everything he’s learned at home. 🏡❤️

Great job, Mr. Leon! One more day! 🐶👏

🐾 Meet Miss Ginny! 🐾

Everyone meet Ginny, a beautiful 1-year-and-10-month-old Pit Bull/Shepherd mix who started her 4-Week Day Train Program last Monday, September 7th! ❤️🐶

Ginny’s family has some important goals for her, with one of the biggest being building her confidence. She can be fearful and unsure of many things, and while she has a small circle of adults she absolutely loves, she tends to be very suspicious of unfamiliar people.

We’re also working on her leash reactivity, helping her remain calm when someone knocks or enters the home, and building more neutrality around unfamiliar adults and children. Since Ginny hasn’t had much interaction with children as an adult dog, we’ll be focusing on safe, appropriate exposure at her pace—helping her learn that she doesn’t have to interact with everyone, but she can calmly coexist around them. 🐾

Now that we’re heading into week two, we’ll continue building on that confidence, trust, impulse control, and helping Ginny make better choices when she’s feeling unsure. 💪❤️

We’re excited to see how much this girl grows over the next few weeks!
