Regular grooming is more than just keeping your pet looking nice. It is an important part of healthy skin and coat care. Routine brushing and bathing help remove allergens, prevent matting, and allow early detection of skin or ear concerns. Consistent grooming supports your pet’s comfort and overall dermatologic health.

The Lighthouse family is thankful for amazing groomers like who help us keep our looking so good!

Meet Sammy - a lovable Lab with a heart of gold and a face that’s earned him the nickname Eddie Munster 🖤

Sammy came to us with significant scarring and skin challenges resulting from a tough case of cellulitis he experienced as a puppy.

Over the past month, Dr. Reeder has developed a tailored treatment plan including laser therapy to help heal and restore his skin - and the results are starting to shine through ✨

Through it all, Sammy has been a champ! His sweet personality lights up the clinic, and we’re so proud of his progress. Keep going, Sammy - you’re looking good, buddy! 💪🐾

When it comes to your pet’s skin health, experience matters. Dr. Chris Reeder is a board-certified veterinary dermatologist with 22 years of private practice experience - 19 of those focused solely on dermatology for animals.

At Lighthouse, we offer more than expert care - we offer thoughtful, practical solutions rooted in listening well, partnering closely with you and your primary vet, and working toward real, lasting relief for your pet.

We’re proud to be the only privately owned veterinary dermatology practice in Middle Tennessee. Dr. Reeder lives here with his family - his roots run deep in Tennessee soil, and so does his commitment to this community.

Our goal? To restore your pet’s comfort - and your connection with them - so they can feel, look, and even smell their best again. 🐾
