Shout out to Lake Geneva Animal Hospital to taking such good care of our old lady! ❤️ last year, we did stem cells for her hip dysplasia and saw some great results. This year, she was due for a dental and has been having trouble with an abscess on her gum line. Dr. Welch was able to do the dental, hip stem cell injections (left over from her procedure last year), IV stem cell, and even packed a stem cell pellet on her gum line.

Pretty cool stuff- we love that we have a regenerative medicine option locally! Both times he’s called us personally after the procedure and you can tell how passionate he is about stem cell therapy! I would highly recommend them if you’re looking for other options for your pet!

A little late to the game on posting this because I’ve been slacking on my social media game, BUT I wanted to finally shout out this sweet boy! 💕

Meet Romeo! Romeo tore his CCL back in the fall. He’s an older guy AND has hip dysplasia, so this was a super big deal- he was toe touching, in pain, and definitely not himself. Mom decided to do surgery and prioritized pre-hab and rehab with us and boy oh boy did this guy crush it!

We are firm believers that any CCL tear/TPLO surgery should be combined with a chiropractic and rehab plan. The stats are pretty sad- 50% of dogs that tear one leg will also tear the other, BUT we have a good feeling that compensation patterns are contributing heavily to that second tear.

Romeo’s now about 6 months post op and has amazing hip mobility, darn near even muscle tone from side to side, and a beautiful gait— even his vet said that they’d have never known he injured it based off of how he was looking!

Meet this sweet old lady- Peyton! ❤️

Peyton came to us as a bit of a mystery! After a full work up from her vet, it was still totally unclear what was causing her symptoms. She’s 15 and had developed a wheeze- especially while eating, was super uncomfortable and paced all night, couldn’t get a full breath/get comfortable in certain positions, and had very limited neck range of motion. After just a few adjustments, Peyton is doing amazing!

Her momma reports that she’s sleeping comfortably at night and actually able to lay on her side which is a HUGE deal, wheezing less, and has full range of motion of her neck! 👏 We’ve seen huge improvement with working in her upper cervical spine, which influences the Vagus Nerve. This nerve innervates the heart, lungs, and digestive organs and hugely influences the tone of the airways. We’re so so happy we could get this sweet girl feeling better!

I feel like I’ve been quiet on here lately (running 2 businesses with an 11 month old is just a little cray 😜) but I was thinking about how many AMAZING wins we’ve had in the office the past few weeks that deserve to be celebrated!

If I missed you, share your animals win in the comments! We’d love to celebrate with you! 🤗

Dogs don’t complain when something feels off, they compensate. Over time, those little compensations can turn into bigger problems.

Regular chiropractic care helps:
🐾 support joint mobility
🐾 reduce tension and compensation
🐾 support the nervous system
🐾 keep dogs moving and aging well

Our goal with maintenance care or regular chiropractic check ups is to stay on top of those functional problems and address them before they turn into pathological problems!

Red light therapy has quickly become one of my favorite supportive tools for dogs and cats — especially seniors, athletes, and post-surgery patients.

This gentle therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to support the body at a cellular level. No crazy noises, no having to get in weird positions, no stress!

Here’s what it helps with:

✨ Decreases inflammation and swelling
✨ Speeds up tissue healing and recovery
✨ Reduces muscle soreness and joint pain
✨ Improves circulation
✨ Supports nerve health
✨ Promotes relaxation and nervous system regulation

I see the biggest benefits in pets dealing with:
• arthritis
• disc issues
• injuries
• post-surgical recovery
• muscle tension or compensation patterns

Used alongside chiropractic care, red light helps the body heal more efficiently and comfortably — especially for pets who aren’t great candidates for meds or who need extra support between adjustments.

We have a celluma red light in our office that’s available to rent after your pets adjustment for $20, or can be rented on a nightly basis (if available!) for $25 per night!

Have you ever tried red light therapy for your pet?

This little love is absolutely crushing her adjustments! Her mama thought she would get sassy with me but she does so so good and melts right in ❤️

After just a few adjustments her mom is seeing her neck loosen up and that she has better control of her tongue, it doesn’t stick out as far- how freaking cool is that!? I’m so insanely obsessed with the sweet seniors I get to take care of!

Most pet parents don’t realize that core weakness is behind a LOT of the mobility issues I see — not just “bad backs” or “old age.”

Your dog’s core is what stabilizes their spine and protects their nervous system. When it’s weak, everything else has to compensate. Signs of a weak core include:

⚠️ Slipping on smooth floors
⚠️ Trouble standing up or sitting down
⚠️ Bunny hopping or uneven walking
⚠️ Jumping soreness or refusing to jump
⚠️ A sagging belly or swayback posture
⚠️ Rear-end weakness or wobbliness
⚠️ incontinence or dribbling

Core weakness shows up in:
• senior dogs
• post-surgery recovery
• after injuries
• dogs who had long periods of inactivity
• even young dogs who grew fast or had birth/interference stress

Chiropractic care restores proper nerve communication so muscles can fire correctly again — and when combined with targeted rehab exercises, we can rebuild real strength, stability, and confidence.

Mobility issues aren’t just “wear and tear.” They are often functional problems that CAN be supported.

Save this post if your pup is showing any of these signs 🐶
