Her Royal Name Has Been Chosen 👑

Y’all helped me with this one, and once Dolly was suggested, I just couldn’t get away from it. The more I thought about it, the more I knew it belonged to her.

So ….

And this one means a little more to me than just a cute name.

My family roots run deep in Tennessee. My grandfather was born in a tiny hospital tucked deep in the Appalachian mountains, and that heritage has always been a part of who I am. So with the recent passing of one of Tennessee’s greatest treasures, Dolly Parton, naming this little Tennessee girl Dolly just felt right.

Dolly Parton never forgot where she came from. She carried those Appalachian roots with her everywhere she went, and somehow made the whole world love a little piece of Tennessee right along with her. ❤️

And then there’s this little girl’s beautiful tortie coat… a little black, a little cream, a little orange, all stitched together in her own perfect way.

So Coat of Many Colors couldn’t possibly fit her any better. 🥹

A little nod to Dolly.
A little nod to Tennessee.
A little nod to my own Appalachian roots.

And a whole lot of meaning wrapped up in one tiny curly girl. ❤️

Well… it appears Dottie Darlin’ & Old Man have produced a little lady who has officially weaseled her way into the Royal Velvet kingdom permanently. 😂

Our newest keeper girl has the curls, the ears, the attitude… and apparently the audacity to remain nameless because I cannot make up my mind.

So, Royal Court, I’m calling in reinforcements. 👑
