And then there was one… But don’t worry! Coach Jim has a home to go to, they were away on their honeymoon. That means He gets extra special time with mama and the other big dogs until he goes on his next adventure. Though it certainly makes moments like these extra sweet. 💗🐶 🐾

Puppers are experiencing some new things! New larger space to play in and some new toys… And mama occasionally brings toys to keep her babies company. It’s the cutest thing ever! 🐶🐾💗

And oh so much more… Training puppies, cleaning up after puppies, worry about who our babies will go home with, worry about how they are later in life, cleaning up after puppies, hurt from judgment. I could go on. This job is so important, as our dogs are our hearts. 💗 🐾

It’s time for for puppy mush and they gobbled it right up! 🥰 Scroll through to watch them go! And of course, who can resist a cute post puppy mush face. 🥰 Once they are all through, mama gets to make sure all the bowls are nice and clean. 😋 What do we put in their puppy mush? We feed our pups Annamaet Puppy with a little puppy formula and pumpkin to help digestion. 🐾

I’ve been sick so I’ve been slightly MIA. While I haven’t been able to take those formal looking extra cute individual shots, I’m still able to take candids and these cuties don’t make it difficult! They are getting so big, starting their little waddle walk and making more and more puppy sounds! Coming up on 3 weeks this coming Wednesday. 🐶💗🐾

Day in the life… I often go back through our video feed to count the number of times Leia has fed the puppies (they’re getting so big!!!) and I came upon this. My daughter and I working together to register weights (yes, on my phone app 😂) and her helping me do puppy exercises. I love that I get to share this with her. Helping to foster a love of animals in her and a love of humans in them. 🐶💗🐾

And the winner of the opening the eyes first prize goes to…🥁Mrs. Benglian! 🎼 One of my favorite milestones with the puppies is seeing all of their little eyes open. My next fave is walking around! That will be coming in a week or so. 💗 Love these little guys! These weeks go by so fast! 🐾

Some of you may know I am also a teacher and I love being able to incorporate what we do in breeding into our science classroom because it is so applicable! The day after the puppies were born, I brought a pic of Leia and the puppies and we discussed the characteristics of life. The students then had to draw a pic depicting their own versions/understanding. When everything was handed in, I got this really cute drawing of Leia and her pups from one of the students. I love seeing how our students soak it in when it they can see science in life. So fun!🐶💗🧬👩‍🔬 🐾
