These adorable doggos are some of Gabi’s latest grooms, bringing all the sunny summer vibes! ☀️🏖️🐾
After three major fires here in Spokane, we’re slowly doing what we can to get back to normal.

Jessie and Alyus—and all of their fur babies—were displaced for nearly two weeks, but everyone is safe and doing well.

Thank you so much to everyone who checked in, offered support, and kept us in your thoughts. Our hearts go out to everyone who lost their homes, their beloved fur babies, or both. We are incredibly grateful to still have our home and Penny’s Paw Spa. 💙

We’re taking things one day at a time and are so happy to be back caring for your doggos! 🐶✂️

As small-business owners, we know how overwhelming it is to suddenly lose access to your business and worry about the income you depend on.

Jessie and I, two of the owners of Penny’s Paw Spa, have been displaced by the fire. We’re incredibly grateful to our business partner and other owner of Penny’s Paw Spa, Gabi, who has opened her home to us and our animals while we wait to return home.

We wanted to help in one small way by creating this action plan and resource guide, so other affected business owners don’t have to do all the research and footwork themselves during this stressful time.

☀️🐾 A whole lot of summer sweetness, freshly groomed by Jessie!

From brand-new puppies learning that grooming can feel safe, to senior dogs who need a little extra patience, Jessie loves meeting every pup exactly where they are. Jessie specializes in working with anxious dogs, puppies, and senior pups, using gentle handling, trust-building, and plenty of encouragement throughout the grooming process.

Jessie also loves helping puppies get off to a great start with grooming. Positive early experiences can help puppies feel more comfortable with baths, brushing, nail trims, dryers, clippers, and being handled as they grow. There is no rushing and no expectation that every dog will be ready for everything on the first visit. The goal is to build confidence, create trust, and set each pup up for long-term grooming success. 💛
