🐾 Found a Lump on Your Pet?

Not every lump is dangerous, but every new or changing lump is worth having your veterinarian check.

Keep an eye out for lumps that:
🔴 Grow or change quickly
🔴 Become red, painful, or irritated
🔴 Bleed or ooze
🔴 Feel firm or unusual
🔴 Cause your pet to lick or scratch the area

Even harmless-looking lumps can sometimes be difficult to identify just by appearance or touch.

When in doubt, get it checked! 🩺🐶🐱

🍂🐾 Fall Pet Safety Checklist!

As the weather cools down, keep these seasonal hazards in mind:

☐ Keep antifreeze safely stored and clean up any spills immediately.
☐ Keep pets away from wild mushrooms and unknown plants.
☐ Continue flea & tick prevention—parasites can remain active in cooler weather.
☐ Keep Halloween candy and decorations out of reach. 🎃
☐ Check your pet's collar and microchip information.
☐ Watch for signs that your pet is getting too cold outside. 🥶
☐ Keep pets away from fire pits, candles, and heaters.

A little preparation can help keep your furry family members safe all season long! 🧡🐶🐱

A tired dog isn't always a tired body-- They need a tired brain too!
🧠🐶 Keep Their Brains Busy!

Dogs need mental exercise just as much as physical exercise. Try:

🐾 Puzzle toys
👃 Sniff walks
🎓 Learning new tricks
🧩 Treat scavenger hunts
🎾 Rotating their toys

A mentally stimulated pup is often a happier, calmer pup! ❤️

What’s your dog’s favorite brain game? 👇

🐾✨ Employee Spotlight: Erin! ✨🐾

This month, we’re shining the spotlight on Erin, a valued member of the ITAH family for an incredible 8 years! 💙

Erin is a familiar and friendly face around ITAH, always ready to lend a helping hand. As an assistant, she wears many hats—from assisting with surgeries to helping with the many day-to-day tasks that keep our team and patients cared for. Her compassion and dedication make a difference every day! 🩺🐾

When Erin isn’t at ITAH, she loves spending time with her sweet boy, Deacon, and her sister’s pup, Enzo. 🐶❤️ Clearly, her love for animals extends well beyond the clinic!

We’re so grateful for everything Erin has contributed over the past 8 years and are lucky to have her as part of our ITAH family. Thank you, Erin, for all that you do! 🥰🐾
