Hi there! We are a full care horse boarding facility looking for a farm/ranch person who can help with the numerous aspects of a ranch.
Primary tasks involve removing manure from the paddocks, cleaning out water troughs, moving 100 pound bales of hay to shelters, w**d whacking, raking and keeping the area looking well cared for. Of course fostering positive interactions with boarders is important.
Familiarity with hand tools is a big help as small repairs are inevitable. ( W**d whackers, saws, trimmers, mowers, drills)
There is a bit of tractor work and we are happy to teach.
A big plus is if you have any experience around horses or other farm animals. You are not required to do much with them but it helps to know how to handle yourself in a pen with them.
You must have your own transportation.
The hours break down to 10-15 hours per week usually over a 2-3 day stretch. We try to work with your schedule as much as possible.
Please keep in mind this is heavy, dirty work and that the hay bales are about 100 pounds each. We provide tools for all the work but ask that you bring personal safety items such as gloves, masks and goggles if there are tasks that require these things.
This is a no smoking facility
We do not require proof of vaccination for employment.
We welcome a strong work ethic and attention to details and willingness to be flexible, able to work independently and has strong communications skills.
