As we see record heat across the US, please remember that ferrets do not do well in it. If you are asking "is it too hot for my ferret", then it is. For US ferrets used to life inside, they need to be kept under 80 degrees Farenheit. If you cannot and it will be only an hour, then take frozen water bottles and place near them. If they are in a cage, put the frozen bottles on top of it as cool air will flow down.

Edited - I have decided to name him Larson.

I wanted to say a special thank you to Prairie Animal Hospital for trying to save the stray ferret from yesterday. Sadly in Spokane we have so few vets who will see a ferret and our vet was out on farm calls. I called 10 vets before finding someone 45 minutes away. We need more veterinarians locally who will see ferrets. So many get excellent experience from the WSU veterinary program in Pullman but do they all leave the area for a practice?
The poor stray never even got a name before saying goodbye. Poor sweet baby just walked into the wrong backyard.

Tartukan Death W**d Is His Name 🖤💚 He is my number one boy, my first cat, my best-friend, my everything. I wouldn’t be who I am today without him! I never once gave up on him or gave him away no matter what I went though && still to this day will never leave his side. He has been through THICK && thin with me. I love him so dearly && I know he feels the same. He sleeps in my arms every night since the day I brought him home && it kills me to know one day I’ll have to sleep alone. For now I enjoy every moment I have with him && kiss him extra every time before I leave && let him know I’ll be home soon. Always take your time and really show your pet you love them ❤️💚
