Your dog doesn’t have to growl or snap to say “I’m uncomfortable.” 

Pulling away, turning their head, getting up, freezing, or creating distance can all be ways of asking for space and noticing those quieter signals matters, especially around kids.

You can watch for the little signals at home. You might be surprised by how much your dog is already telling you!
