This is going to be long but please bear with us and read until the end....
To our valued pet sitting clients:
Travis and I have done a lot of soul searching recently. We have decided that beginning next year - we will be drastically reducing the amount of pet sitting jobs we accept. We love you all and will never discontinue our services completely. But the fact of the matter is...we both have FT jobs outside of pet sitting. We also have our own aging dogs that we want to be able to spend as many precious moments with as possible.
What this means for you:
🐶We we will not take on more than one pet sitting job (outside of our home) at a time. This will allow at least one of us to be home with our own dogs at all times and will alleviate the stress it puts on my mom having to help us so much.
🐱We will be limiting the number of boarding dogs we have at our home to a maximum of 4 at any given time.
🐶We are going to attempt to limit the time pet sitting outside of our home to two weeks each month. This will be more difficult because we do have clients that go on longer vacations and that is ok. We will still do those longer jobs, as needed.
🐱Effective immediately, we will no longer be accepting new clients. We appreciate the word of mouth SO much, but we want to ensure that we have room for YOUR boarding/sitting needs, and we can't do that if we are overloaded with new clients.
🐶Please know that we schedule appointments, gym time, family time, etc. for our days off. This means that there may be times where we will have to leave for a little while (usually an hour or two). We do our best to schedule these around the needs of the pet(s), but we are no longer able to take on jobs that don't allow some flexibility with that. This also includes holiday events - Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas gatherings, etc.
🐱Book your stay early! We are already booking in to next year!
🐶If you already have a reservation with us, it is safe! We will honor all commitments we already have scheduled.
🐱We are continually told that our prices are too low for the quality of care that we offer so we may be re-evaluating our prices at the beginning of the year. All reservations currently booked are grandfathered in to our current rates. This includes our holiday rate increasing on January 1st. We will communicate these new rates ahead of time.
Just to add a little perspective....
I have spent 126 days away from home since January 1st. That is 60% of the year so far.
I LOVE what we do. I know how hard it is to find somebody that you can trust with your animals and I am SO happy that we get to be that for people. It is just time to try to prioritize our family and self care for a little bit. We may ramp back up in the future....we just need to take a little bit of a break.
