Well it has come to that time, that I have to hang up my chaps. I’m sorry for the ones that I have let down. I appreciate everyone that I have worked for the pass 6 years. I wish nothing but the best to you and your horses. If you need a farrier recommendation, Kevin Bissing Wyatt Billings, or Adamn Lorang, Kayla Helm would be the ones I recommend. Fair winds and following seas.

“You are only as good as the people you surround yourself with.”

You will not find me because I refuse to stay at your level.

The ride was worth the fall. This pass year was one of my better years, I experienced and enjoyed things I never thought I would have enjoyed so much doing. Just remember, even in your darkest moments, you will have someone or something watching over you. Thank you for the individual that stopped that night. I don’t know who you are, or where you came from, but thank you. “ just remember kid, you don’t have to do it all, you just have to do tomorrow.”

Just some Edgar Allen Poe.

A moment of silence. That’s all we needs. Don’t forget. The last survivor of the Uss Arizona died this year, I’m sure when he arrived on the heavens gates there was a massive roar! Sleep well.

Be the person you want to be. Don’t change your ways for someone. You are the way you are, because you have had to shape your mind and body over the years. Be strong kid, I know you got it. 💚

At WhoaZone Equine, we saddle up each day with freedom in our hearts—free to chase unicorn dreams, ride wide open pastures, mentor young riders, and steward the land. None of this happens by accident. It happens because brave men and women have stood in the gap, worn the uniform, answered the call—and their families have sacrificed alongside them.

🐎 𝐀 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐡𝐲

When we encourage a teenager to lean into horses, or show a young horse the way forward in a pattern, we’re living that freedom they fought to preserve. We get to choose our path, foster community, and raise future champions because their service paved the way.

Let us never forget: the reason we get to saddle horses and chase dreams is because someone else stood guard—so we didn’t have to.

Service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off. Wounds unseen, the internal battle, the readjustment to civilian life—these are ongoing. Consider these realities:

Among the many veterans of our armed forces, about 14% of male veterans and 24% of female veterans are diagnosed with PTSD.

Veterans who served in operations like Iraq and Afghanistan experience PTSD at rates from 11% to 20%, depending on deployment and trauma exposure.

For younger veterans (ages 22–49), the prevalence is around 14.7%, compared to about 4.9% for those over 50—highlighting ongoing needs for support and reintegration.

These numbers aren’t just statistics—they represent husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, children, and friends who carried the load so we could ride in fields of possibility. Their service extends far beyond the battle. The call to serve—for us, for our country, for our freedoms—echoes still in the lives they lead and the burdens they carry.

Heavenly Father,

We thank You for each veteran who answered the call and each family member who stood beside them. We lift up their courage, sacrifice, and steadfast love for our country.

Lord, we pray You grant them peace when nights are restless, healing when battles still rage inside, comfort when memories weigh heavy. Let us never take their service lightly.

Give us hearts of gratitude that translate into support, respect, and care—not just today, but every day. May our freedom ring out in our living, our giving, our community.

In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Couldn’t have said it better, been over a month since I have rode draugr. Rode him for a good thrift minutes and he did good. Just something about this horse makes everything go quiet.
