Can you tell which one is Cricket (from BMO and Neptr) and which one is his doppelgänger from another pair at the store?

It just happened that they both ended up with red bands and had the exact same physical expression of the same mutation! I’ll post who’s who under the pictures. His doppelgänger is also still available for a home!

We’re finally in the dusky fluffy head phase! They’re still a bit nervous of the big world, but are so snuggly and playful in the brooder. They’ll be ready for a big kid cage in no time!

I’ll have two of these babies available once my waitlist families pick their babies. I will include band, DNA and mutation under the pictures.

We’re officially trying out pellets for the first time! Mr. Green Band here decided to take the plunge and see what these snacks were all about. I know his siblings will soon follow! My babies are weaned onto a healthy mix of Roudybush, Harrison’s, Psittacus and Hagen lifetime pellets with a bit of seed added in. We sell the mix at My First Bird as well!

I finally got some pictures that show Crickets colors pretty well. With the violet mutation I’ve noticed that the lighting really makes a difference. In direct light he looks much more green toned, but in other lightings he looks almost royal blue! I absolutely love the violet gene, it’s just so beautiful. Cricket is a wild man, I’m hoping I can get some high quality pics of him soon, but he reminds me of Donnie Thornberry from The Wild Thornberry’s!

Cricket is a SFV turquoise yellowside from Neptr and BMO and is already spoken for. But if you’re in love with his color, we do have his almost identical twin available at My First Bird.

I can’t get over how gorgeous Jessie is in person. She’s a double factor violet cinnamint green cheek conure from BMO and Neptr, and she has a lot of s***k in a little body! Pictures really just don’t capture the color like we see it, but I tried my best to get some good shots. Her coloration reminds me so much of some of the Fischers lovebird mutations I’ve seen. Once her little brother is a bit better at perching, he will get his own little photoshoot too! His name has been changed to Cricket.

Both of my violet green cheeks are spoken for, but feel free to message me to get on the waitlist for the next clutch!

The DNA results on the dusky conures is in! Both greens are boys and both lutinos are girls! I’ll be reaching out to the two people on my waitlist so they can come meet the babies in person and make their choices. Then I’ll have two babies left over available for deposits.

Under each picture will be the band number and DNA result.

Still no fertile eggs from these two, but that’s okay, practice makes perfect!

Yoshi and Birdo have been officially introduced and are absolutely head over feathers for each other! They’re in a smaller temporary cage but will be getting an upgrade very soon. So far, they’ve had to do absolutely everything together. If one eats, they both eat. If one goes to play, they both go to play. If one naps, they both nap! I’m obsessed with these two, I can’t wait for them to have babies of their own one day!
