Gigi is here to remind everyone to get your entries in for Spokane Dog Training Club’s October obedience and rally trials! Held indoors and outdoors on October 3 & 4! Grass isn’t so scary but missing out on this fun trial would be! This year we are welcoming judges Richard Lewis and Nancy Watson! Entries close 9/16! The trial is about half full right now so get your entries in the mail right away!

The premium for our October Obedience & Rally Trial is finally available! The trials are OPEN and the secretary is READY to accept your entries! This year we are welcoming judges Richard Lewis and Nancy Watson.

Rally and the obedience optional titling classes will be held outdoors on grass 🌱 but don't be afraid, you've put in the work to train your dog, come show it off!

Regular obedience classes will be held indoors.
Judging is limited to 8 hours per judge per day so get your entries in fast! Entries close on 09/16/2026.

The September scent work trial is open and accepting entries as of 7/29! Get your entries in to our trial secretary Hollie S! This trial is held at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds September 11, 12, & 13. Our judges are Carla Slabaugh, Mary Jane Shervais, Mia MaCollin, and Debra Gillis. We will be offering detective, interior, exterior, and buried.

🚨 SDTC classes are CANCELLED for the upcoming week (Aug 3-6) 🚨

Due to the recent fires in the Spokane area that have left quite a few people, including some of our instructors and assistants, displaced and have created potentially unhealthy smoke levels in some areas, the SDTC Board has made the decision to cancel all SDTC classes for the week of August 3-6. The session will be extended one more week so that students get 8 weeks of classes.

REGISTRATION will continue as scheduled - Returning students can register starting on Monday, August 10. You can still drop off payments at the club.

Our August 7-9, 2026 Agility Trial at Twin Willows closes Wednesday, July 22 - there's still time to get your entries in! Entries can still be submitted online through R2 or by hand delivery before closing.

Join us for three days of agility at the beautiful Twin Willows facility with great competition, great friends, and plenty of fun.

The premium is available on R2 and AKC. Neele Ammon is the trial secretary, so be sure to get your entries in before the Wednesday, July 22 closing date!

🎆🎆That’s a wrap on Spokane Dog Training Club’s July 4 & 5 agility trials! 🎆🎆
Thank you to our judge Torka Poet for some fantastic & challenging courses! I’m so sorry that you couldn’t keep your hands down for all the dogs!
Please comment all your fun moments at the trial below!
Special thanks to our trial Secretary Kathy W who was amazing getting all of our results entered accurately and correcting mistakes when they came up. She was also coerced into running her dogs in addition to being secretary and earned her excellent standard title!
Our chief ring stewards Karen A and Neele A kept butts in all our worker chairs and made it rain worker coupons on all our volunteers! Thanks for using your best yelling voices, enjoy some tea to recuperate over the next week.
Ingrid K coordinated our gaggle of course builders to brink Torka’s courses to life on Saturday. After a slight hiccup on Sunday, Matt K was ready to jump in with the measuring wheel to place obstacles with precision!
Of course thank you to everyone who volunteered to help with even on class! It takes a circus to put on a trial and everyone makes it happen! We couldn’t do it without you!

It was amazing to see everyone who showed up and showed off their dogs! There were a lot of new faces this year. This was the fullest the trial has been in at least 3 years.

Congratulations to Agent Whiskey, Nessea, and Cayce on your MACH, MACH, and PACH! You worked so hard to get there and you crossed that finish line beautifully! On to the next goals!

See everyone next year on July 10 & 11 when we welcome Judge Paula Ratoza!

Don’t get caught out in the heat with nothing to do! Spokane Dog Training Club’s July 4 & 5 agility trial closes TODAY (6/24). Kathy will be at the club to collect any straggling entries. Online entry is available until 11:30pm Join us for a 4th of July potluck! The club will provide the meats, you just bring a side to share!

Our July 11 & 12 Scent work trial at Mukogawa Fort Wright Institute is still open till July 1! Lorrie C will also be at the club building to collect entries today! Get your entries in before it’s too late!

🚨 Our July 4 & 5 Agility trial at Spokane Dog Training Club closes in 8 days🚨

This year our super amazing judge is Torka Poet from Richland so you know the courses will be excellent and well nested so course building will be a breeze which makes for a quicker day.

On Saturday July 4 we will have a BBQ potluck (not like with a grill or anything I'm ordering catering because... fire hazard) so please bring something to share, even if you don't we'll still feed you.

Some of you may be worried about fireworks at the end of the day on July 4 but don't fret as we have been done running by the time any fireworks start.

We will also have a photographer at this trial to catch those candid moments with your dogs! Silly weave face? ✅ Flying spaniel ears over a jump? ✅ Laser focus border collie face? ✅ Clover Dog Creative has got you covered!
