❤️ A LITTLE FIGHTER NEEDS OUR HELP! ❤️
We have taken in a rescue foal who came to us in critical condition at approximately 48 hours old. His mother had been severely starved, was completely untouched, and we were told she would not accept her baby. This poor little guy came to us with bites and kicks, already fighting for his life.
He was diagnosed with Neonatal Isoerythrolysis (NI), a life-threatening condition where antibodies from the mother’s colostrum destroy the newborn foal’s red blood cells.
He is currently being treated at Brazos Valley Equine Hospital, where he received a much-needed blood transfusion around lunchtime yesterday to help restore his red blood cells.
❤️ WE HAVE SOME ENCOURAGING NEWS! ❤️
His fever broke this morning, and since receiving his blood transfusion, his vitals have started improving! He is a little brighter and showing us that he isn’t ready to give up.
Unfortunately, he is also septic and is receiving antibiotics and medication for diarrhea. He is still far from being out of the woods, and the next several days will be critical.
Everyone who knows me knows that I absolutely hate asking for money or help. But the reality is that his veterinary care is going to be extremely expensive, and I just don’t have the heart to let this little guy die without giving him every possible chance at life.
As long as he is willing to fight, we are going to fight right alongside him! ❤️
If anyone would like to help with his veterinary expenses, donations can be made directly to Brazos Valley Equine Hospital toward his bill. No amount is too small, and every single dollar is appreciated more than you know.

If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing his story and keeping this precious little guy in your prayers.
He has already been through more in his first 72 hours of life than any baby should ever have to endure. He deserves to know what love, kindness, and a full belly feel like.
He’s a fighter, and we’re not giving up on him! ❤️🐴
Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who helps give this little guy a fighting chance.
