Over the past three weeks, Skates had been working on impulse control, crate comfort, and obedience, and getting safe time with other dogs. He’s a sweet, smart, cuddly, hardworking boy who needs an active home ready to provide daily exercise, enrichment, and continued training.

Lasting change takes time. It starts with understanding the whole dog, not just the behavior in front of us.

My training approach grew out of my years in animal rescue and shelter work, where I learned the importance of looking beyond behavior to understand each dog’s experiences, emotions, and individual needs.

I’ve built on that foundation through Fear Free sheltering and CPDT-KA certifications, the Aggression in Dogs Master Course, and continued study of behavior analysis and positive reinforcement.

Our training approach is holistic, recognizing that a dog’s emotional well-being, environment, physical needs, and relationships all influence behavior. We focus on building confidence, trust, communication, and skills at a pace each dog can handle.

It’s not about quick fixes. It’s about creating meaningful, lasting change that improves life for both dogs and their people.

I’ve got a pretty incredible deal for someone.

Included in this purchase:

✅ One slightly used flirt pole, complete with genuine Bigfoot scratches from the time I saved my own life during a Bigfoot attack. (Kidding, Bigfoot are peaceful creatures. I won’t stand for the slander.)

✅ One extra replacement flag.

✅ One very good boy named Skates.

Skates has been hanging out with us for the past few weeks, working on his training and having a pretty great time doing it. He’s a fun, goofy guy who LOVES to play. And if you’ve watched the videos, you can probably appreciate just how much work he’s been putting into his impulse control. 😂

He’s also been working on leash skills, engagement, and getting out to explore new places.

A couple things to know:
- No cats for this guy!
- He needs someone willing to keep up with his training.
- He comes with a whole lot of personality.

Price: $125, which just so happens to be Skates’ adoption fee. The flirt pole is on us.
