🦟 Let’s talk heartworms!
Heartworm disease is spread when an infected mosquito bites a dog. Heartworms live in the heart, lungs, and surrounding blood vessels, where they can cause serious damage.
Dogs may show no signs at all in the early stages, making routine testing especially important.

The American Heartworm Society recommends year-round prevention and annual testing.

Happy 250th anniversary of the US! We will be out of pocket for several dates this month. Due to the heat, we are taking things a little slower to protect our staff and patients. We are also discontinuing elective surgical procedures (like castrations) until it is cooler out. Stay hydrated!
