PEANUT BUTTER HAS NEVER BEEN GIVEN A REAL CHANCE.
We are begging you to help us change that.
Peanut Butter has spent her entire life being bounced from one stressful situation to another. She has been in various large inner-city pounds, at one point finding herself on the euthanasia list, and she has been adopted out to well-intentioned people who simply weren’t given the knowledge or support needed to set her up for success. Because of this, Peanut Butter has paid the price.
The stress of living in a kennel environment became so overwhelming that she injured her own tail while desperately trying to cope. Her injury was so severe that she ultimately needed surgery to have her tail amputated and she is now recovering from that.
But we know this is NOT the end of Peanut Butter’s story.
In fact, when she was finally given structure, patience, consistency, and the right environment, something incredible happened. We started to see her thrive.
She has been participating in a board-and-train program with Coaching 4 Paws in Southington and they have nothing but wonderful things to say about her. They have seen the dog we knew was in there all along, a dog who is capable of learning, connecting, and succeeding when someone gives her the chance. They believe in Peanut Butter so much that they are making an extraordinary commitment:
Coaching 4 Paws will support Peanut Butter and her foster or adopter FOR LIFE. That means you will not be on your own when giving her the chance she deserves.
We are looking for someone who has experience working with dogs, understands that behavior is communication, and is willing to give Peanut Butter the patience, structure, and consistency she deserves.
Most importantly, we need someone who will look at Peanut Butter and see potential instead of her past. She has already survived so much. She has been failed by circumstances and by people who didn't know how to help her, not because she isn't worthy of being loved. She just needs someone willing to give her the chance she has never truly had.
Please help us get Peanut Butter OUT of the stressful kennel environment she is currently living in and allow her to decompress in a real home.

BASIC RULE OF THUMB!
When it comes to obedience training start of being very strict as your dog or puppy gets better you can start to loosen up and not be so strict!
It is much easier to start off being strict and loosen up with time then it is to start off with no rules and try to regain control after your dog has learned bad habits!
