It's hot this week! Here's your reminder about keep your pet safe in the heat!
Preventing Heat Stroke in Pets 🐶🐾

Summer’s here, and while we love the sunshine, it can be dangerous for our furry friends. Heat stroke is a serious, life-threatening condition that can happen FAST—especially in pets left in hot cars, on long walks, or without access to shade and water.

🚨 Know the warning signs of heat stroke:
• Excessive panting or drooling
• Lethargy or unresponsiveness
• Bright red gums
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Collapsing or stumbling

Prevention Tips:
✅ Walk pets early in the morning or after sunset
✅ Always provide cool, fresh water
✅ Never leave pets in parked cars—even for a minute
✅ Watch out for hot pavement—it can burn paws!

If you suspect heat stroke, act quickly: move your pet to a cool place, offer water (don’t force it), and call us immediately.

🚨 Urgent Surgery Needed 🚨
This is Candy 🐾

Candy and her family were referred to us over the weekend for an urgent evaluation after being diagnosed with a pyometra.

Pyometra is an infection of the uterus that can be life threatening if not treated in a timely manner.

Unfortunately, these things only happen at the worst times and we are trying to help Candy's family raise money to offset the costs of her surgery.

Candy's surgery is scheduled with us this week and any little bit helps!
