Great day at Frazier Dressage Show and Combined Test! We basically snuck in and out before the rain really started to come down. Congratulations Bridget and Eclipse on their 1st and 4th place ribbons, Devrey got double reds on Tango and Myla was also second in her combined test division. An extra big congratulations to Cindy and Mac on their first show together getting two 5th place ribbons. Today was officially day one of horse ownership so that was the biggest win! Congrats Cindy on her adoption of Mac!!!

It was a pretty perfect fall day to spend it playing at Fitch’s Corner for probably one of the last cross country schoolings of the year. Phen and I, along with Mary and Jacoby, met with up Jen (Jacoby’s owner) and her young mare Summer. Here is Mary and Jacoby providing Jen and Summer with a lead as Summer learned to navigate the up bank. Everyone did a fantastic job and it was fun to watch Jacoby help his little sister figure out the way 🙌. I always love the full circle nature that seems to happen in the horse world.

Yesterday was Apple Knoll Horse Trials and a much better weather day than last weekend! Phen made his move up to Training Level and I couldn’t have been happier with how well he did. He put in a competitive dressage test and was absolutely foot perfect for both stadium and cross country. We picked up some time penalties for being on the slow side but it was 100% worth it based on the questions and conditions. He finished in 5th but he’s pretty sure he won if you asked him 😂😂. Stadium has notoriously been our hardest phase and he made easy work of it. Thank you to everyone who has helped us get to this point, to Sara who has always believed in Phen and Lexi for playing groom this weekend.

Congrats Kennedy on your lease of Smokey! I think it’s going to be a fun winter getting to play with this new duo

Terra and Cash working through our pole and cone exercise today as the weather really weathered outside 😂…. It’s a rainy gross next couple of days unfortunately. Phen and I were planning on heading to Coursebrook Horse Trials tomorrow but decided the conditions were going to be too nasty to warrant it. He says he’s perfectly happy to hide inside.
