🐾❤️ Senior Pets Deserve a Little Extra TLC! ❤️🐾

Our senior sweethearts may slow down a little, but they still have so much love to give! 🥹🐶🐱 As our pets get older, a few simple things can make a BIG difference in keeping them happy, comfortable, and healthy.

✨ Senior pet tips to keep in mind:
🐾 Schedule regular checkups: Wellness exams and bloodwork can help catch age-related changes early.
🐾 Watch their weight: Maintaining a healthy weight helps protect aging joints.
🐾 Keep those teeth healthy: Dental disease can cause significant pain and affect overall health.
🐾 Look for changes: Increased thirst, appetite changes, stiffness, coughing, or behavior changes deserve attention.
🐾 Make life comfortable: Soft bedding, nonslip rugs, and easy access to food and water can help aging pets thrive.

❤️ Remember, getting older doesn’t mean your pet has to live with pain or discomfort! If you notice changes in your senior pet, we’re here to help.

🐾 Cowboy is getting the full VIP treatment! 🩺💙

Dr. Kennedy is giving Cowboy a complete nose-to-tail physical exam to make sure everything is looking and feeling as it should!

During a routine exam, our vets checks things like eyes, ears, mouth and teeth, skin and coat, lymph nodes, heart and lungs, abdomen, joints and mobility, along with weight and temperature. They’re also looking for anything unusual that might need a closer look.

Regular wellness exams are an important part of keeping our pets healthy and catching potential problems early. ❤️

And Cowboy? He’s clearly taking his job as the cutest patient very seriously. 🐶😂

💙🐾 Happy Veterinary Receptionist Week! 🐾💙

You know them and you love them so today we’re celebrating the three amazing ladies who keep our front desk running and our clinic moving: Stacey, Casie & Kailyn! 🥰

Our receptionists are so much more than the friendly faces greeting you when you walk through the door. They’re answering phones, scheduling appointments, helping worried pet parents, juggling a million things at once, keeping everyone organized, and somehow doing it all while giving plenty of love to our patients. 🐶🐱

They are truly the front line of our clinic and an incredibly important part of our team. We couldn’t do what we do without them! 💙

We appreciate you more than you know! 🐾💙

Happy Amazon prime day! Let’s see if we can help out Tails of Hope Dog Rescue to help feed momma Doralee!🐾🩷🐶

Momma Doralee needs your help!

She’s eating for four and well… our food supplies are running low 😬

Luckily it’s Amazon Prime Day, which means it’s time for our fall food drive! Twice a year, we ask for your help to fill our pantry. Our pantry holds 60 bags of dry dog food and right now, we need your help to restock! Our pups all eat Purina Pro Plan, Salmon and Rice dry formula and right now, it is on sale!

Our Wishlist is set up to ship directly to one of our local volunteers for processing: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2Z8VKFY7ZPOGQ?ref_=wl_share

With your help, we can fill out pantry, meaning saving our funds to help take care of the dogs who need us. And since we have three rounds of puppy vaccines, spays and neuters, and microchips to do for these sweet pups, on top of supporting the other dogs in our care, we sure need it!

Thank you for helping to keep our bowls full! ❤️

🔎 A little behind-the-scenes look at veterinary medicine! 🐾🩺

Dr. Cantrell is getting a closer look with an abdominal ultrasound on one of our sedated patients. Ultrasound is a great non-invasive tool that allows us to evaluate internal organs and investigate what might be going on beneath the surface. 💙

And yes… sometimes our patients are a little too comfortable during their appointments. 😂🐶

We’re so thankful for the technology and expertise that help us take better care of our patients! 🐾✨

🏡🐾 Boarding your pet? Here are a few ways to make their stay a little easier!

Whether it’s their first sleepover or they’re a seasoned boarding pro, a little preparation can go a long way! ❤️

🐾 Pack their normal food to help keep their tummy happy
🐾 Bring a favorite blanket or toy for a little piece of home
🐾 Make sure medications are clearly labeled with instructions
🐾 Let our team know about any quirks, fears, routines, or favorite things
🐾 Double-check that vaccines and preventatives are up to date
🐾 Most importantly: leave them with a calm, happy goodbye! 🥰

And remember, when your pet boards with us, they’re not just getting a place to sleep. They’re staying with a team that knows them, cares about them, and is there if they need medical attention. 🩺🐶🐱
