💙 A SPECIAL SHOUTOUT TO COOPER! 💙

I wanted to take a second to give this boy the special shoutout he deserves!

Cooper came to me through a referral. He was fear-aggressive and had already been through a couple of groomers. His first visit with me wasn’t exactly sunshine and rainbows 😂 He wanted absolutely NOTHING to do with grooming… or me!

Fast forward to now, and Cooper wags his tail when he walks through the door (even if he tries to convince Dad otherwise 😉).

And this last groom? WE DID OUR FIRST GROOM WITHOUT A MUZZLE OR ANY RESTRAINTS! 🥹💙

Progress like this doesn’t happen overnight. It takes patience, consistency, trust, and a whole lot of love. The work Cooper’s parents have put in has been AMAZING, and the trust this boy has built with me makes my heart absolutely explode.

These are the moments that remind me WHY I do what I do. Grooming isn't always about the perfect haircut. Sometimes, the biggest win is helping a dog feel safe enough to let their guard down.

WAY TO GO, COOPER! I am SO incredibly proud of you, buddy! 💙💙

Our clients aren’t just appointments on a schedule. They’re family. ❤️ We’ve worked hard to build those relationships, and we want someone who shares that same love and care for the pets we’re trusted with.

🚨🐾 KENNEL COUGH ALERT — PLEASE READ! 🐾🚨

Hey, pet parents! ❤️ We want to give everyone a heads-up that there are confirmed cases of kennel cough in our area, and we want to be proactive about protecting all of our grooming family!

Here's what you need to know:

🐶 Symptoms can take 2–14 days to appear after exposure. Just because your pup seems perfectly fine today doesn't mean symptoms won't show up later.

🐶 Know the signs! A hacking or honking cough, gagging or retching, sneezing, nasal discharge, or unusual lethargy can all be signs of a respiratory infection. If you notice symptoms, contact your veterinarian.

🐶 Vaccinated doesn't mean invincible! The Bordetella vaccine helps protect against certain causes of kennel cough, but it doesn't prevent every respiratory infection.

🐶 PLEASE keep sick pups home! If your dog is coughing or showing signs of a respiratory illness, do not bring them in for their grooming appointment. Contact your veterinarian and let us know so we can get your appointment rescheduled.

🐶 Recently exposed? Let us know! If your pup has been around a dog diagnosed with kennel cough or has potentially been exposed, please contact us BEFORE your appointment so we can discuss the safest next steps.

We will continue following appropriate sanitation procedures and doing our part to keep our salon as safe as possible for every pup that walks through our doors.

We know missing an appointment isn't ideal, but one rescheduled appointment is much better than spreading illness to other people's babies. ❤️

Please help us spread the word so we can keep our four-legged friends healthy!

🐱 A LITTLE CAT APPRECIATION POST! 🐾

If you’ve noticed we don’t post our feline friends quite as often, there’s a reason. 😂 Cats are, well… CATS. And getting a picture of one looking halfway interested in cooperating is sometimes a whole separate grooming service. 🤣📸

But we want to take a minute to show some love to our amazing cat clients and their humans! ❤️

Our feline friends are on regular grooming schedules, with their appointments booked a year in advance! 🐾 And honestly? We feel so lucky to have built such wonderful relationships with both our cats AND their parents over the years.

Cat grooming is its own little world, and we’re so grateful for the trust our clients place in us. Getting to see these familiar faces (and furry little personalities) regularly and building those bonds is something we truly appreciate.

They may not always cooperate for the camera, and some days they might act like we’ve personally offended them by touching a single whisker. 😂 But please know our feline friends are just as loved and appreciated as our pups!

To our cat parents: THANK YOU for trusting us with your babies and being part of the South Sioux Grooming family. ❤️ We appreciate you more than you know!

Now, if you’ll excuse us, we have some cats to go negotiate with. 🐈🤣

The countdown is ON, and we all know how fast these next few months are gonna fly by!!

Just a little heads up… 🤍 We already have LIMITED appointments left for the WEEK OF each holiday for the rest of the year! 😳

So if your four-legged friend needs their holiday glow-up, don’t wait until the last minute and then come crying to us 😂🐶💅 but seriously once we are full we are full.

Get those appointments booked, friends! Let’s get those babies lookin’ extra cute for the holidays! 🤍🐾✨
