The Fall Obedience/Rally trial is now over and I would like to thank the exhibitors who attended our trial. It was a fun weekend honoring Dick and Sharon Wood.

I have so many people to thank. I had a wonderful trial committee, Mary Bente, Mary Waller, Mary Lowden and Claudia Roberto, who made my job easy. We had exceptional stewards that kept the rings moving. We had a nice judging panel, Karen Anderson and Shirley Spall. Thank you for your time and dedication to our sport.

Thanks to Lisa Putnam for the photo booth and our vendor Sandy Koller for sharing her merchandise. It is always nice to support a small business.

Thank you to those who donated items to the trial. We appreciate your generosity.

Congratulations to those who qualified and earned new titles. There were 4 New UDX titles and a RACH. It is very exciting to see your hard work pay off.

We look forward in seeing you in the Spring. Hold the date: April 30-May 2, 2027.

Venus earned Detective legs #3 and #4 this weekend at the St. Paul Dog Training Club Scent Work Trial, and added a 3rd-place finish!

Detective searches are such a fun challenge. I love watching Venus work through the search. She continues to impress me with her focus and confidence, and I love the teamwork we’re building along the way.

A special thank you to the Judges for their fun and challenging Detective searches. I always appreciate the thought and creativity that goes into designing them. I love running the St. Paul Dog Training Club trials. They are so well run and so efficient, regardless of how we do I always enjoy them.

Four Detective legs down, six to go!

So proud of my Venus. ❤️

Savor earned his AKC Detective Scentwork title over the course of three trials with a beautiful 2nd place search on Saturday under Judge Bonnie Gutzwiler at the SPDTC trial in Faribault, MN. Fun Fact: Savor’s first Detective Q was earned under Judge Holly Bushard last year at the same trial. It was fun to come full circle and finish his title where the journey started.
