Today marked Nate's Reptile Rescue's 10th anniversary.

Through the years we have done so much work to better both the people and animals not only within our community, but across the country. We are eternally grateful for all of the support we've gotten and relationships we've built on our journey up to this point. It has been a true honor to have worked in educating thousands of people, rescuing and rehabilitating so many animals, seeing them go to new homes, and helping pet owners find comfort and assistance through our services.

Though the future for our operation is uncertain at this time, we do hope that we will be able to continue our mission in helping people and animals find the help they need.

Once again, thank you all for your continued support during this time and please stay tuned for how you can help as we continue to move forward with this arduous process.

Most everyone has heard of the tragedy which we experienced on Monday the 26th. We have received an outpouring of support beyond anything we could have expected and are extremely grateful for everyone who has reached out and/or donated so far.

To answer some of the many questions we've been getting:
1. Any and all donations of reptile supplies will be happily accepted and much appreciated
-We will put a post out about times/places for dropping off items
2. Of the animals who were able to be rescued, they all have temporary homes in place
3. For those who were in need of rehoming their animals to us, we have a couple of foster homes set up to continue assisting with rescues while we are without a facility
4. Both of the fundraisers started by us are linked in our bio and can be accessed at the top & bottom of our various website pages
-Other groups have put together some fundraisers on our behalf; if you have any questions the legitimacy of one then please call us
5. No events, cleanups, or reconstruction are planned at this time as we have to wait for more information before moving forward
-We will put posts out with updates as we get them

We have thousands of messages to go through and we will do our best to respond as swiftly as possible so please be patient while we work through everything.

If you have any urgent questions, please call us at 412-266-1492.

Lastly, we want to thank all of the first responders, volunteers, and Allegheny County Parks for their swift actions in saving our animals and for their assistance in moving them to a secondary location for us to operate out of while we begin our recovery efforts this week.

Welcome To Nate's Reptile Rescue's new official page! We had to start this new page due to a disconnection error from our previous page which occurred when Meta launched its new system. We have been unable to restore our access and have had no luck in reaching out to Facebook or in receiving help from those who know much more about the platform than ourselves.

Regardless, we have been very busy the past couple of years and thought it was time to begin again as we continue to move forward with our rescue operations since we want to continue to share this journey with all of you!

We would very much encourage you to share this new page with as many others as possible so that we can once again reach the same number of people as we had before.

Additionally, if anyone has any contacts or information for someone who may still be able to restore our previous page then please don't hesitate to reach out!
