I've been progressing with my PT for my fractured leg post op. Still hobbling around on crutches at both offices and doing too much.
Today, rainy day- so trying to catch up with you, my wonderful clients, with messages, office work and watching , of all things, Taylor Swift - Eras final tour on disney Plus.

Terribly silly but surprisingly, I now understand why there are so many Swifties! It's like a Madonna concert from us 'older' people times!!

I just wanted to update everyone. I had my tibial plateau fracture repair on March 17th right at Nyack Hospital performed by Drs. Murray and Medici. It went very well. And the Nyack hospital staff was wonderful for the 48 hours post op. Very pleasantly surprised and so happy for their wonderful care.

I am surprised that pre op, with just crutches and a support Splint, I felt more comfortable than post op. Not what I was expecting at all. But I'm hanging in there and cautiously optimistic that I will be back to 100% soon!

In the meanwhile, I've been resting and to most of you who know me, that is not a typical scenario for Dr.Saunders- LOL - AT ALL!!

I have appts set for the end of the week at both offices and hopefully will have more stamina to tolerate full days of appts. Fingers crossed

I want to thank everyone for all the well wishes. It truly makes me so happy to know how much my clients are concerned for my well being and speedy recovery!!

I just wanted to let my clients know that although I did break my leg sking on March 6th up in Maine- BOO HOO. I was in both offices this past week and wasable to examine all my patients pretty well, while sitting on a stool( and not the kind you bring me to analyze- LOL).
Large dogs were examined on the lift table since I cannot get on the floor.
I am having a bone plate and screws placed on my left tibial plateau on Tuesday 3/17 right at Nyack hospital. I hope there are St. Paddy's day celebrations there without the drinking, of course.
I expect to get back to the office but will be on crutches for 6 weeks post op.
End to this year's skiing but hopefully that's all.

I thank EVERYONE for the well wishes and for those of you who commiserated with me about missing out on my trip to ski the Dolomites this week in Italy.

This is now becoming even more of an issue for our indoor/outdoor kitties. And, of course, with the weather getting nicer, it's hard to keep them inside! I'm not sure what the answer will be.
