AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION - Sawyer von Scheden
Sawyer von Scheden is a beautiful 14-month-old floppy-eared German Shepherd who is very lovable and endearing, with a goofy side. He politely asks for pets with a soft tap of his paw, likes to be close and greets new people warmly. Sawyer is housebroken, has had professional training and knows commands including "sit," "down" and "leave it." Per a prior home, "he's a really friendly and great dog," but not for cats or young kids (and he does like to check out kitchen counters). He does well with most dogs, and we'd love a home for him with another dog. At the rescue, this boy steps out eager and excited for his walks and walks well alongside other dogs. In playgroups he checks in with his handler before mingling and happily greeting new pup friends with tail wags, then sometimes roams or sometimes joins in play. Sawyer will thrive in a loving home that provides guidance and boundaries, where he can sit right near his family and share a lifetime of devotion and fun.
He was rescued from the Kern County animal shelter.
