Please help Brody and I raise funds for fighting cancer. We have joined the American cancer society’s 30 mile dog walk during November. It’s only November 11 and Brody and I have completed 25.97 out of 30 miles so far. We are well on our way to finishing our goal early. Sadly we haven’t raised any funds yet in the first 11 days of the challenge so I was hoping to remedy this by posting about this on Brody‘s page. My girlfriend Eva and I took our dogs to Tanner Park on the Great South Bay.

Brody had an amazing afternoon and evening playing with all his doggie friends at the beautiful Port Jefferson public dog beach. We met many new friends and he was so well behaved with all the dogs…as always. We both had a lot of fun today. I ❤️ him so much!

So excited! Just found my dog Brody’s FULL SISTER using Embark DNA🧬. Her name is Suzy and she is also 50% Neapolitan Mastiff and 50% American Bulldog just like Brody is. They share 61% of their DNA🧬 and the same maternal haplogroup (motherline lineage) A1a -A388. Those 3 facts taken together assure that Suzy is in fact Brody’s full sibling. I don’t yet know if they are from the same litter of pups from early July 2016, but I know they share the same sire (father) and dam (mother) for sure. I reached out to Suzy’s owner for a photo and more information about Suzy and am still awaiting a reply.

Brody adores my new girlfriend, Eva Kruslinski and vice versa. He loves to sleep and cuddle her...and so do I. Brody is very protective of her while she sleeps.

I noticed that Brody is very large and heavy compared to the average male Neapolitan Mastiff x American Bulldog F1 crossbreed. They should range from between 65 and 75 lbs. Embark listed his predicted genetic weight at 94 lbs. Wisdom Panel gave a range of between 96 and 145 lbs. Brody fluctuates between an actual adult weight of between 116 and 126 lbs. and is in amazing shape with an ideal weight for his body size.

By total chance this morning in the FB Neapolitan Mastiff private group, I met the owner of Brody's paternal-side half-sister, Tinkerbell the female Neapolitan Mastiff from Collins, Missouri but now residing in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. When she posted in the group today, I immediately recognized her name, light coloring, breed and photo from Brody's Embark DNA Relatives Finder feature. So thrilled to meet Brody's relatives.

Bought the Odin collar and leash for Brody and having it imported from the United Kingdom. It's manufactured by the same company that manufactures and supplies the British Special Forces (SAS & SBS) K9s with their military gear.
