Happy Vet Tech Week!
Dr Ally Klooster - DVM
Last but not least, give a warm welcome to Dr Ally! Dr Ally has been with us since June, and has really enjoyed her time here with us so far! A graduate of MSU, she’s been a practicing veterinarian for about ten years! She says that she likes the atmosphere of PRAH as well as the staff, but her favorite part has been meeting some of our clients! Dr Ally fills in once a week (nearly every Wednesday!) with us, and will fill in for Dr Bucht on vacation etc.
When she’s not busy running around with her own two (human) children, she tells us that she has really enjoyed getting to know our clients better, and helping them receive the care they need!
We hope you’ll get to meet her soon! Until then say hello here in the comments and welcome her to our team!

Happy Vet Tech Week!
Dr Lisa Bucht - DVM
Where to begin 🥹; Dr Bucht has dedicated over half her life in the pursuit of caring for animals. In a practice she started, she continues to work 40+ hours most weeks!
She has been a champion in our community, advocating for spay/neuter and adoption, and the efforts to reduce shelter & stray animal overpopulation.
She goes above and beyond for her patients, whether that means searching for affordable drug options, or multiple referral options, she wants your pet to receive the care they need!
We can also assure you, if your pet is really sick or has a complicated case, she brainstorms this on her own personal time. (There is no extra charge for this! 😉)
In addition to being a great doctor, she is a great person! She jokes around with the clinic staff, makes sure everyone eats lunch and asks how our weekends and days off were. 💛
She is also a wonderful mother to 4 beautiful children! In her free time she enjoys music and travel, and her favorite beverage is a nice hot (usually Earl Grey) tea!
Thank you Dr Bucht, for caring so deeply, for setting a great example for us all, and for all your hard work! We appreciate you so much!

Hi guys, it’s me, your friendly neighborhood vet tech! 💛
Strange to write things about yourself, but here goes! I’m in year 12 of working for PRAH, and I still believe that I have the best job in the whole wide world! You might still see me on the floor, although lately I’ve been picking up some other roles such as helping with social media, updating the clinics operational protocols, and a new passion I’ve found lately that I ✨really✨enjoy; development and training of new staff! 🥰
Not to sound real cheesy, but I do wake up in the morning and hope for an opportunity to truly help someone. Whether it’s a patient, an owner, or a colleague, it’s what gives me a sense of purpose, and I’m still truly blessed and honored to have had an opportunity to do this for so long!
For about the last two years I’ve also been picking up relief shifts at the local EVCC’s so that I can continue to expand my skills and stay sharp! I do enjoy working with and meeting new people, but nothing beats PRAH & the clients I’ve come to know so well over all these years!
In my free time I’ve gained some new hobbies, including guitar, making jewelry and painting, and of course spending time with my wonderful family! (See my son pictured with me, he’s 20 now and in college! 😭)
I hope you all have enjoyed our posts from this week, and again from the bottom of my heart, thank you for entrusting us with the care of your pets! 🐾🎉🥳✨🐾

Happy Vet Tech Week!
Larkin - LVT
Larkin has been with us for about six months, but she has already made such an impact at our clinic! She came to us with a background in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care, but these days we can find her ensuring that your pets are comfortable in hospital, making sure they are warm and cozy, and keeping them cleaned up! (Fun fact that she has a thing about wiping eye boogers 🥹)
All jokes aside, we are so very lucky to have someone on our team as skilled as she is! In such a short time we have learned that she is talented, yet humble, and always eager to learn and try new things!
In her own words, a bit about herself & her favorite aspects of being an LVT:

“When I’m not caring for patients I like to spend time with my own pets. I currently have 2 cats and 1 dog that I share with my boyfriend. My favorite part of veterinary medicine so far has been becoming an LVT in 2025 and learning the biology behind our pets and being able to help owners understand the connection among 1.) the symptoms they see, 2.) the numbers we see on diagnostics, and 3.) the treatments we provide in clinic and they continue at home. Before going to school and experiencing an emergent pet loss, I was a compliant pet owner, now I’m much more aware. I’m excited to help clients feel like informed pet parents.”

Our Office Manager/Practice Manager Danielle is such a baddie, we are so proud to introduce her this year and hope you all get to know her a bit better!
The job of an office manager can vary day to day, whether it’s in clinic tasks like cleaning or restraint, or the bigger picture like landscaping, building maintenance, tech issues or client communication, Danielle has it covered!
Danielle has been with us since June, and every day since she brings sunshine and positivity to every encounter! Besides being a stellar boss she is also so fun, and full of compliments for the whole staff!

Sydney! - VA
As mentioned earlier our veterinary assistants are such an important part of the team, cross-trained, and multi tasking superheroes!
Sydney has been working with us for about a year, and since then has showed extraordinary growth! She is just ✨CRUSHING✨ all the skills on her training checklists, and it’s obvious every day that she cares passionately about this career!
Sydney always arrives with a positive attitude, and is very supportive of her coworkers every day!
When asked, Sydney said her favorite things about working at PRAH are the cute animals, her coworkers, and all of the things she is learning about! She describes her colleagues as talented, caring and funny! She also says her first year working in veterinary medicine has been “the greatest experience!”
We are so proud to have her, Sydney is a self proclaimed horse girl, who in her free time enjoys singing, playing guitar and camping!

Courtney -VA
Today we’re going to highlight our veterinary assistants! Don’t let the title fool you, VA’s are usually floating between the front desk and the back, and are highly skilled ✨INVALUABLE ASSESTS✨to the clinic!
Courtney has been with us for about six years, and the growth she’s had as a tech is astounding! She is our go to for spicy patients, and difficult blood draws. She cares deeply about her team mates as well, usually making sure everyone has had a lunch break, on top of making sure that our in hospital patients are well cared for with walks and fresh water, etc.
Courtney tells us that her favorite part of her job is working with patients who are timid or scared, and we must admit that she has a certain way of making any animal feel at ease!
While she is currently on maternity leave, (congratulations, and we miss you! 😭) she mostly enjoys being a wonderful mother of two beautiful children! As well as an owner of two dogs and three cats of her own.

Happy Vet Tech Week!
Erica - CSR
Erica has been with us for about three years, and has been described by the staff for making the day so much brighter, and more fun just by being herself! Fun fact, Erica is also known as our pit bull whisperer 😉.
All jokes aside, she is one hard working gal! In addition to holding down the front desk, she always jumps in to help with cleaning, pet restraint, even X-rays or anything else we need help with throughout the day!
When asked Erica says that her favorite parts of her job are being a friendly face you see when you walk in, puppy kisses, learning new skills, and showing compassion to owners going through a hard time.
Erica is also a wife, mom of two humans, one dog and two cats! She also enjoys camping, nature and being anywhere near a lake or water.
Don’t be shy! Let’s hear it for Erica and all the ways she makes our clinic better every day! Thank you, Erica! 🐾🥳🎉🐾

Happy Vet Tech Week!
Koren - CSR
Today we are celebrating our CSR’s! Our Client Service Representatives are the lion tamers of the lobby, and the keepers of our schedules! Koren has taken this role on with gusto, and has been with us for about 2 years! She is a fan favorite at the front desk, recognized by many local clients.
Koren is such a sweet soul, with a sense of humor! Although she takes her job seriously, she’s known around the office for being punny, and lifting team morale!
She tells us that her favorite parts of her role at PRAH is seeing a wide variety of patients, and especially ones that have ”the wiggliest butts!”
Koren makes sure that by the end of her shift, she’s followed up on all her correspondences, and tells us that she takes pride in her empathy for clients and patients who are having a rough time.
In her free time she enjoys arts and crafts, spending time with her family, and is a business owner!
