Juniper and Jasmine are still looking for a home! ❤️These sisters are the sweetest and they are best friends. We would ideally like to keep them in the same household, but are willing to separate in the right circumstance. Their foster mom says that they are playful and friendly and perfect! They are 4 months old: spayed, microchipped, current vaccines and litter box trained. Interested in adoption? Vivi is still looking for her forever home! If you like a cat who will greet you at the door, Vivi is for you. She loves to run, jump, play, climb… AND snuggle on the couch.
Vivi is a petite 8.5 lb with a long tail that helps her balance like a monkey. 🐒😆She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated. She loves people and doesn't mind dogs. She would do ok with another neutered male cat in the home, but she doesn't like other female cats. Her adoption fee is $100. Indoor only homes please (closed catio or direct outdoor supervision are fine, too. She’s adventurous and we don’t want her to run off!). 🐟🤝 **YCEP PARTNER #2 — AND WE'RE HEADED TO CREEDE!**

We are excited to welcome South Fork Veterinary Clinic as our second SLV TU Youth Conservation Education Partner!

South Fork Veterinary Clinic has stepped up to help fund the remaining equipment and consumable needs for our planned Trout in the Classroom expansion to Creede next school year 2027-28.

That means their support isn't just helping maintain what we already have — It's helping us reach the next school and the next group of Valley students.

This is exactly what we hoped YCEP could become: local businesses and organizations finding different ways to help us grow hands-on conservation education throughout the San Luis Valley.

Aaaaand even more cute kittens! 😻 Dolly and Jack are looking for homes! Dolly is 13 weeks old (short hair dilute torti kitty, spayed, microchipped, vaccinated), Jack is 14 weeks (medium hair black kitty, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated). They do not need to be adopted together. Jack is super playful and friendly. Dolly likes to play too but is VERY into people; she would love to be your shadow and lap kitty. Little lady Lavender! This gorgeous lilac point kitty is looking for her forever home. She’s just a little over a year old and SUPER sweet. We know that she likes other cats, but, as far as dogs go, she would probably only do well with a very chill dog that wouldn’t scare her or get all up in her business.

Vivi, the sleekest and sweetest black cat is still available for adoption! She's about 1.5 years old, spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She loves to play, jump, and snuggle up next to you. She would do fine in a house with dogs after proper introduction. She is choosy about who her kitty friends are; she seems to prefer neutered males...hey, she makes these decisions, not us! ;) She was rescued from the streets of Monte Vista with her litter of kittens. They've all been adopted and it's definitely her turn now.

A sweet calico gal named Aspen is looking for a new home! Her owners had to move out of state and couldn’t take her with them, so we are keeping her safe until she finds her forever home. She is 1.5 years old, spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. She has only lived indoors, so indoor only homes please!
Here is a description of Aspen from her current foster mom. 😻”She is such a sweetheart. She might take a day or two to warm up to new people, but if you give her the time and make sure she gets pet a lot, she becomes the most affectionate cat ever. She loves to be pet and is happy to sleep next to you wherever. She's also been a little shadow and will follow you around the house. She's not destructive at all and she rarely makes any noise other than meowing every so often to be pet.” Aspen has lived in a house with other cats before. Adoption fee $50.
