Our dog agility community is amazing & I know will step up to support Annette Narel & family through this horrific tragedy. Thankful all people & dogs are safe but the fire destroyed their home. Annette is a popular agility judge, instructor & their training facility, RushNAround, has hosted countless wonderful agility trials over decades. Penny is a seven-month-old German Shepherd who needed help steadying her emotions with new people, dogs, and places. The world is BIG when you’re a puppy! The Reactive Rehab program came to the rescue, building her confidence and giving guidance to her family.

Like the name implies, German Shepherds were originally bred in Germany as herding dogs in the late 19th century. They’re intelligent, athletic, and versatile, serving as courageous police and military K9 partners, drug and bomb detection dogs, and loyal, protective family companions.

Penny adores the young children in her family and having a job to do. She loves to learn and her favorite motivators are treats, toys, and baby talk!

In all the years that’ve been teaching, this was a super group! Eager to learn, not just from me, but by observing each other & cheering for every accomplishment. When they weren’t woo-wooing, they were the quietest, most chill group I’ve ever had, from the very first class. I need to sprinkle some of that fairy dust in my future classes for sure! 🧚🐕
