Gunning Island Retrievers Gunning Island AKC Labrador & Golden Retrievers by Pauline Botelho & Kristen Botelho Pires Our dogs are pure bred Labrador Retrievers and Golden Retrievers.

We have been raising, training, campaigning and breeding dogs since 1983. Our dogs are family members - each one has their own personality but all share the friendly, loving, loyal, trustworthy, pleasing, fine temperament that the Retriever is noted for. Some of our dogs, aside from being great family pets, are also faithful hunting companions. We have produced many AKC Master, Senior, Junior Hunters, Agility dogs, as well as therapy dogs. We are proud of our Gunning Island Retrievers!
