Good Morning!

Happy February! February is dental month, and the dental discount is back. Book your dental anytime within the month of February to receive 10% off the entire dental cost. Teeth are extremely important for the entire body and all it's organs. Severe dental disease can aggravate or cause heart disease, liver disease, and kidney disease. Should you have any questions or need to request an estimate, please don't hesitate to call the office at 908-324-5783. While we strive to make sure our estimates are accurate, this is difficult to do with dental disease. This is because we do not 100% know the extent of dental disease until we take full dental radiographs on the patient after they are placed on general anesthesia. This is why we ask on the day of the dental to make sure that we can reach you at all times. If there is something additional that is not on the estimate, we cannot proceed until we get verbal permission from the pet owner.

Thank you and wishing all my clients and there furry friends a great day.

Sincerely,

Dr. Beth Sulner, DVM and the staff of Happy Pets Veterinary Hospital Inc.

Good evening everyone. I need to hire an Anatomy and Physiology tutor for my daughter who is struggling with this course only. Does anybody have any recommendations on tutors for this course please? Maybe a professor looking for extra income who could help my amazing daughter with this course? I have a client who I have seen recently (~2-3 months ago) who teaches this course and mentioned to me that he also tutor it. If you happen to see this post, please call my office Happy Pets Vet or IM me please. If anyone has any recommendations, I would be extremely grateful for the contact information please. You can call my office Happy Pets or IM me please. Thank you and looking forward to seeing everyone in the office again when I return from my medical leave.

Good Evening!

Happy Pets veterinary Hospital would like to welcome our newest doctor. Dr Patel will be starting next week full time on Tuesday, January 13th. Dr. Patel brings a wealth of knowledge to our hospital. With the addition of Dr. Patel, Happy Pets Veterinary Hospital will be able to offer International Health Certificates. Dr. Patel will also spay/neuter exotic pets. However, he does not see exotic pets for sick appointments. Please see attached below Dr. Patel's bio. Please extend a warm welcome to him because he is now a perminent addition to happy Pets family. We are so happy to have him join our team.

Dr. Sandipkumar Patel (B. V.Sc & A.H)

Dr. Patel grew up in a village of Gujarat state in India. He graduated from a reputed, Gujarat Agricultural University with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry. He received his veterinary degree from Gujarat Veterinary College in 1991.

He then joined Seneca Colege and received the Veterinary Technician diploma, and ultimately passed VTNE exam to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. He worked as an RVT /RAHT in different Veterinary clinics in Canada. While working as a veterinary technician, he passed the ECFVG program, and then passed the national veterinary examination to get his Veterinary Licence to practice in Canada and the United States.

Dr. Patel practiced for several years in Saskatchewan and Alberta Canada. He practiced veterinary medicine not only on dogs and cats, but on cattle and equine. Dr. Patel then opened his own small animal veterinary practice in Canada successfully for several years. He eventually sold his practice in Canada, and moved to the United States to continue his veterinary career practicing in New Jersey as a Licensed Veterinarian. He is also an active member of AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association), NJVMA (New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association) and AAVIO (American Association of Veterinarians of Indian Origin). He is also an USDA Accredited Veterinarian to provide international health certificates.

Dr. Patel loves his job as a Veterinarian. Building a trusted relationship with his clients, caring for their pets, and his immense love of animals is the main reason why he wanted to become a veterinarian. Dr. Patel also enjoys being a team member so that he can educate both his staff and clients, ensuring that all pets maintain the highest quality of life and health.

Dr. Patel special interests include dentistry, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine/endocrinology and preventative medicine. He is actively involved in pursuing continuing education, and learning the very latest treatments and diagnostic techniques.

Dr. Patel and his wife live in South Bound Brook. He enjoys live music, Bollywood movies, reading, camping and trying new restaurants. He believes in nature, prayers, mindfulness and Yoga. Dr. Patel is very active in the temple and visits every Sunday.

I am very excited to be a member of Happy Pets Veterinary Hospital. I look foward to meeting all of Dr. Sulner's clients and will continue to provide the same level of care that they have already currently been receiving at Happy Pets Veterinary Hospital.

Sincerely,

Dr. Beth Sulner, DVM and the staff of Happy Pets Veterinary Hospital Inc.

Good Afternoon!

Spring is in the air! Now that the weather is starting to get warm again there are several things that are extremely important for the health of your 4 legged beloved pets. First and most importantly, do not forget to use your monthly heartworm/flea/tick/intestinal parasite prevention. There are so many different products on the market, but the one we mainly sell and recommend is Simparica Trio. Please call us when you need a refill because our prices are the same as Chewy, and 1-800 Pet Meds. In addition to the comparable price, you will also receive a mail in rebate ($15 dollars on 6 months and $45 dollars on 12 months).

Please also don't forget that Bordetella and Influenza vaccines are extremely important with the warmer weather. The reason being is that with warmer weather, we are outside more, and tend to have contact with other dogs at a much higher rate than in the winter. People also tend to board there pets more frequently because the summertime is big for family vacations.

Just another friendly reminder that we will be open tomorrow, Sunday 3/10/24 from 9-4PM. Dr. Sulner will be available and ready to see all your angels with whatever urgent care issues that may arrise. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the office at 908-324-5783. Thank you and I hope everyone has an amazing weekend.

Sincerely,

Dr. Beth Sulner, DVM and the staff of Happy Pets Veterinary Hospital Inc.

Hi everyone, just wanted to remind everyone that Happy Pets Veterinary Hospital will be open tomorrow from 9-4 for all urgent care needs. This is our first Sunday trial of being open. Right now, we are acting as a walk in urgent care; no appointment is needed. Please call prior to arriving to let us know why you are coming down so we can be prepared. Please be patient with us, this is our first Sunday, there may be quirks and longer wait times as we are mainly seeing sick appointments. Also understand that critical patients may take priority.

We are so excited, we look forward to being open every Sunday, and treating all your fur babies to avoid a trip to the actual ER. Thank you so much and please do not hesitate to contact us at 908-324-5783.

Kind Regards,
Beth Sulner, DVM

Good afternoon!

Starting January 14th 2024, Happy Pets Veterinary Hospital will be conducting a trial of being open on Sunday's for emergency's. We have had several requests from pet parents that have landed in one of the other emergency hospitals on a Sunday, that would have preferred to see their regular doctor. This will mean that for the next two Sundays (1/14 & 1/21) in a row, Dr. Sulner will be in the building from 9 AM until 4 PM as well as staff. The following three Sundays (1/28, 2/4 & 2/11), will be our associate doctor (Dr. Silit). Some of you may already know Dr. Silit from Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Hillsborough. We will be able to handle any and all emergencies that we would normally see during normal business hours. Examples are limping, vomiting, diarrhea, not eating, lethargy, ear infections, skin infections, seizures and anything that you may deem as an emergency. Please understand that this is a trial basis and we will aim to be open on every Sunday. However, certain circumstances may arrise and we may have to close. The cost of the emergency visit will be $165. The rest of our fee schedule will remain unchanged. We may be able to squeeze in annual wellness exams, however, the fee for the visit will be $165. Please understand that Happy Pets Vet Hospital will also be acting as an urgent care on Sundays, and wait times may be a bit longer due to the fact that they will not be scheduled appointments. Everything will be treated as walk in appointments, and triaged as necessary. We ask that you call ahead to advise us why your pet needs to be seen so that we can be ready. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the office at 908-324-5783. Thank you, as a healthy pet is a happy pet.

Sincerely,

Dr. Beth Sulner, DVM and the staff of Happy Pets Veterinary Hospital Inc.
