Now that the craziness has slowed for a second and all the pups found new homes we want to introduce our tracker in training!!! This fall we will have a few more tricks up our sleeve for finding tough Midwest Whitetails!!

Penny’s pups are 4 weeks old and doing great!! There’s 3 males and 2 females hunting for their future family! They will be ready in March and if you are looking for a new hunting/tracking buddy these are going to be the perfect age this fall!! 🦌 🦆

AKC Registered Labrador Retrievers from working health tested parents with great dispositions. These guys should be able to go to any discipline you’d like or even as a family pet!!

(Mother)Penny- 40lb WIS-IL DEER RECOVERY DOG!! Penny enjoys the off season dove hunting along with a little pheasant work when she’s not busy trailing wounded game! OFA Hips Good, Elbows Normal and tested negative for all genetic recessive traits.

(Father)Tuff- 70lb Fox Red Ponting Lab that has a natural point on pheasants. He will hunt from the blind quietly and retrieve whatever bird hits the ground. When hunting season is over he spends his time searching for shed antlers. OFA Hips Excellent, Elbows Normal DNA tested negative on all recessive traits.

We were called in on this track yesterday. The deer was shot with a 350 legend and there was good blood for a ways but then it started to dry up. So in best interest of the dog these hunters backed out and waited. We arrived to the hit site and started down the line to where the deer entered heavy cover. Penny had me worried on this track she wasn’t showing me good signs and what I could see here and there I was wondering if the deer was hit high. We tried a couple restarts without much confidence. So we stopped and voiced our concerns to the hunters and their friends I wasn’t sure we would find this buck but asked for permission to use the wind to our advantage and cut crosswind to see if we could locate the buck. They said any help would be appreciated. We cut downwind from last blood and started to head into the woods. A short distance from there and Penny locked in on the buck!! I’m not sure why she wasn’t acting herself last night maybe because the coyotes had beat us to this deer maybe because the bullet was a touch higher we won’t know…. But we found him and saved some of the meat. Olivia now has her best buck!! Congratulations and thanks for the call!!!
