First day of summer camp done and dusted!

First day of summer programs and the driveway is at a stand still! Can't be late, we have a big day! The Horse Of My Own campers come up and meet Dover this morning for riding assessments, barn tour and chores orientation. The Brownies are meeting Barrow at Apache where Elizabeth the vaulting barrel and Scout the fiberglass foal are going to help get them get ready for their visit to the barn this afternoon. Lunch for the horses, lunch for the humans, FOB for the campers and no FOB for the Riding Instructors and RIITs who will get the arena and horses ready for the the Brownies to ride. Then the horses go out and staff and RIITs get the barn clean and arena set for the next day of fun.

As we head into summer camp and our Girl Scouts are learning about building and supporting their camp community, Lilly has a life lesson to share with everyone. We don't understand or share her enthusiasm for Cheyenne's chestnut, but we love to see her enjoy it. We won't burst her bubble, yuck her yum, you do you boo, and if she loves it, we love that for her. Camp is so much more than the activities, it's the best place to learn about yourself and others. Here's to a great summer!

Sam is delighted to have the barn office up and running this summer. He's not a great typist...and he's a bit of a chair hog...but he's great at making us take a quick break in these busy days. Even if that break is to edit an email he added his thoughts to.
